Im pretty sure it was named after some douche named POMF and they named the clan POMF as a joke.

What exactly does POMF mean, or what does it stand for? You didn't mention in the first post.

There have been discussions in the Lumbrojacks chat room, and we have decided to increase our numbers, we will be merging with them into one group, the Renovators of Terror. Since I still have yet to get a good communication system set up with the rest of us, I had no way to run this by you guys.

If some of you disagree with the Lumbros or just plain dislike them and the idea of a merger, I invite you to remain with POMF and keep the clan tag.

You're right about the respect thing. But still, other less-offensive things that I build get griefed without a moment's hesitation.

And I look forward to a match, the only problem being that I need to find a way to get everyone in POMF together in one place first. :P

Yes, in my view it is. There is a difference between those two situations.

The swastika is the renowned emblem that represents Hitler's regime to kill millions of Jews. Though, I admit there is a Buddhist symbol that means something different, the Nazi regime is what it is widely known for. So griefing a disrespectful swastika is different from griefing a nice pixel art painting of the awesome Nyan Cat.
Swastika's shall not be allowed room in the forums any longer, since the subject may provoke many people (since it represents a sensitive subject) and it is generally disrespectful to those who were involved with that war.

If you wish to discuss this further, find me on IRC. No further debate about swastika's here in the meantime.

You seem to be contradicting yourself mister DustMako. At first you claimed that the definition of a griefer was; "A person who intentionally destroys that which he did not create."

So, by your definition, If I were to dig out a 1x1 piece of land from the side of a mountain on a randomly-generated map, I would be a griefer?

But then you changed your stance and said; "Then POMF are just a bunch of griefers by your definition. "

So...which one is it? Make up your mind, then we'll debate it.

No, because we don't do it to intentionally make people upset. I'm not going to waste time restating why we do what we do, as it's in the first post, but it's not "griefing" by my definition.

Another point, I also like to bring in the amount of manpower taken from the team into the mix. If it's just one person on a full server writing "PENIS" on the ground, I generally won't care. But if like 5-10 people are off building a Deuce statue or something, that thing's coming down.

You have a point there, regarding building. And POMF's ideals include the removal of unnecessary structures, just it leaves it up to personal opinion what qualifies as "necessary".

And what I meant was that there are several counter-arguments to the "Don't like it, get your own" argument. Sorry, might not have been clear about that, I'm a bit tired. And we have been hosting our own server in the last week or so.
