I am not sure how the destruction of something with no practical use at all in the context of an FPS game is griefing, even if it was done by your own teammates. I wouldn't quality it as that.

It's also very hard to take all of this seriously when the people making the accusations of griefing are calling what is done to them "racial intolerance" and then using some thin excuse of being Buddhist. Either you believe you're being harassed as a white person for using symbols of your racial supremacy or you have a mediocre vocabulary and are unable to actually say what you mean. The accusation of racial intolerance only makes the excuse of religious belief even thinner.

And finally, Reuben, your avatar is a picture of a white man in black face. I mean… come on now. I cannot take you seriously at all.

But regardless of whatever it is you believe, you have no ground to stand on in accusing others of griefing in this matter. If you want to draw pretty pictures to glorify your beliefs, whether racist or Buddhist, then go to deviantart or something.

It simply isn't appropriate at all in a public server. It is not a marketplace of ideas. It's a first person shooter game.

First of all, if you want to express your Buddhism, do it elsewhere. You don't see me preaching in the chat window, or making giant signs saying yay or nay about one god or another.

Second, the swastika is very much a nazi symbol. You can't go around calling people fags, and then saying they acting like bundles of sticks. Words and images grow to mean different things.

I am sorry your religion was hurt (buddhism is not a race) but really, making swastikas in AoS is pointless, stupid, and something trolls do.

Even if you are totally serious about the buddhist symbol thing, people are gonna think you are being an ass, and they may just be justified.

This Hompy guy sounds like more of a Nazi than anybody who goes into servers and makes swastikas.

I made a Swastika on the Goon Haven server and immediately people starting griefing it, such as hava, LuisTheGame, and others. I teamkilled them and tried to explain that it was a symbol of respect, but they said I was a f**king liar and griefed it to pieces.

Even if I meant it to be a Nazi symbol, why not let it be? The Nazis were a powerful army that almost succeeded to take over the world, and should be remembered as intelligent and strong.

And yes, there are some better symbols I could have used. But still, I mentioned several times to the griefers that it was a Buddhist symbol, and I was mainly upset with the lack of listening or caring.

@Rueben's original rant: I understand that the swastika is a religious symbol, but it's also gained a nasty reputation from the Nazis. It's not the symbol's fault, or your fault, but that's the way it's come to be recieved by most people. I'd back up Coelacanth on this one: Why not make another religious symbol if it's such a big deal?
