CoD is a great game. The fanbase, however, is terrible. So we want to avoid having their fanbase by not having anything that their fanbase could possibly enjoy in this game, and to ignore all their pleading to make this game more like their favorite game, thus drawing more of them here, and ruining our own fanbase (which isn't saying a whole lot anyway, seeing as there are a lot of retards that love this game).

What went wrong with FPS games? They used to so bro-tier, now they're just infested with children.

I have to say a few things:
1: CoD isn't perfect, but it isn't the worst game ever made.
2: For the people pulling the time period realism crap, I can see where your coming from, but don't be a Nazi about it. Let people dream.
3:This idea could be used if correctly balanced. If it broke over time and was hard to get (like you need to cap the intel to get it or something) it could be a fun addition to the game.

Call of Duty is not the only game that has a riot shield. Still, this is a pretty bad suggestion. Why would anybody bother building cover if they can just Leroy Jenkins their way into the middle of enemy territory while crouching behind a riot shield? It would take away focus from building cover that can benefit the entire team and instead focus on kamikaze rushes.

Besides, your argument, OP, that blocks are broken easily and thus forts, etc. that are made out of blocks are not effective is pointless. This game features destructible terrain. Of course you can break stuff. That's why you work together with your team to both protect your fortifications and repair them if necessary.
