I've been votekicked illegitimately many times. It's usually either a case of trolls or hacking accusations. Sometimes it's a case of me accusing a griefer, failing the votekick, and getting venge-kicked by the stupid kiddie. It's annoying, to say the least, and some of the better-moderated servers are disabling votekicks entirely since they have a good administrator presence. Sadly, it's only possible to have multiple admins with Serverbot or PySpades (hopefully some better admin features will be added to the vanilla server code sometime soon).

Sounds pretty cool, but to get around them just stopping when the kick comes up, have a replay shown of the last minute or so. Then everyone sees what they did.

Possibly the griefer wouldn't know about the votekick until it is over?
So either you know that a votekick has been started if you actually got kicked off of the server or it says something like, "Votekick for Whoeverthehellthisguyis has ended".

so when vote kicking we need a window (outwrangler suggested check out his posthttp://ace-spades.com/forums/topic.php?id=3878 ) but instead of just that we should also add a box in the upper right hand screen that shows a third person view of the person being kicked so this could support vote kicking reasons this could also pretty much get rid of stupid griefers and only the best griefers could get away with griefing and it would stop false griefing
