I think the CTF is ok if you have members willing to play the game properly, e.g. the clanwar the other night was great - Big Z: you need to upload your videos of it if you have them :D

Why remove a game mode where the code has already been implemented? Surely that just equates to wasted time.

Yes, I do enjoy TDM, Conquest, and Attack&Defend modes more than CTF, but I wouldn't advocate the removal of a game mode simply because I don't like it.

CTF beats the hell out of regular TDM. I'd like to see conquest too but not at the expense of CTF.

More game modes will come in the future. For now you're just going to have to deal with it.

P.S, there is no "right gameplay" in this game. In fact, the best part about it is the fact that people can choose to play however the heck they want.

Replace it with conquest. Each map has several control points for the team to hold and fortify. Make each round last 60 minutes and the team who held flags for the longest wins.

This game is not meant to be 10 minutes long. Sure some people are happy just building 3 chest high walls and running back and forth capturing the Intel, (just like every freaking CTF game ever made...) but on most servers, simple minded gameplay that doesn't make the game unique prevails.

What's fun: Seeing several forts, walls, towers etc. being erected on the battlefield over time.

What's not fun: Seeing everyone running back and forth and using the build mode to just create a few small bunkers that you use for maybe 3 minutes.

Please replace CTF with conquest. Sure most settings depend on the server but at least make the base game encourage the right gameplay, not the TF2 kind.
