No. Working in teams to create mega structures would be pain when someone makes a mistake. Plus it'd be impossible to keep track of what is yours on smaller maps.

To prevent griefers, people should only be allowed to knock down their own stuff, unless it has been either: 5 minutes since a block has been built on it, or they use a /ask [insert person who built the object's name here] command to get permission to knock it down. Just thought of it, don't hate.
