I don't care if it's CoD-like or whatever, I just think it's stupid to have walking, running and sprinting. If someone for some reason thinks this is a good idea, make it so that you can't aim shit for 5 mins after sprinting.

^
But sprinting would be useful on open terrain maps and when carrying intel...
Especially in hallway you will need to get the fuck out of there because if you don't you'll get slaughtered.
But the idea gets hated because its in callofdoody and shooter x, have fun trying another time.

no sprinting really. Because of call of duty. Dude look at this game. Come on, u have know idea wha will happen to this game. And beret u dont know if the sprinting will be like that. Watch or play star war battlefront2, plays alot like AoS just alot more feature and the sprinting was great. wtf wrong with trying? nothing, and every shooter can sprint. did they all end up like what ur complaining about no. and if ur saying yes its because ur ignorant. Some people want sprinting in the game. And do u guys really think where ganna have 20 different gun with 30 other variations. You guys are getting scared about nothing, how bout u try and code 60 guns with maybe 5 coders. IN PIXEL. ANd i believe in what brown said. But u have to walt cause u cant run. In hallway its a big problem. but not on my team. if u kill me and i know where u are ur dead. i completly took out a moutain top killing 10 player camping up there and there hidy holes. wasnt even hard. stop being lazy and kill the pests.

There's nothing wrong with sniping in itself, but if you spawn camp (Which I don't do), yeah, it's pretty cheap. But I don't sit in the same place over and over, I try to find different areas to snipe from. Somebody could easily find you out, and kill you if you stay in one place all the time, so I try not to. Running and gunning isn't really something I like to do, but I can. Snipers are a part of this game. Just because some dude. get caught out in the open doesn't mean that the sniper sucks. It's that guy's fault for just waltzing around in the open with no cover.

@Winston I don't think the problem is with COD having sprint. BFBC2 has sprint, so does medal of honor, so does Arma 2:OA. We just want to see AoS be an original and unique game. But, still, COD has some idiotic weapons and whatnot to it, and we simply don't want that crap implemented.

The only thing I actually want is prone, it is a real world tactic, and allows fir a player to be well hidden and harder to get shot rushing a enemy.
Sprinting....if AoS is aiming for realistic gameplay, yes, as a arcade game, no.

Well, I'd say yes but seeing as AoS is an indie game like Beret mentioned above...

Nah. If AoS wants to be different then I fully support it.

@Beret: Look on the bright side, 0.55 will have the old Rifle accuracy back on the first shot. All subsequent shots will have spread.

Good god no, sprinting should never have been invented in the first place. Everybody runs, all the time. That's how it used to be. Nowadays to run you not only have to sacrifice your ability to fire, but you also get asthma after about 5 seconds and have to slow right down. I doubt a single soldier alive who is in an army today would be allowed to serve if he could only sprint for five bloody seconds.

Worst of all though, and this is one of the key reasons why I stopped playing Bad Company 2, is because when sprinting you can't even fucking sidestep! What sort of person can't dodge or zigzag while running?

It is by far one of the most braindead features that have ever made it into the mainstream, and is one of the main causes for multiplayer gaming being so camper friendly. To move fast at all you have to sprint, so most movement is slower- perfect for snipers. In the likes of Unreal Tournament a camper wouldn't survive two minutes, but current shooters create an environment where those that sit tight and camp choke points absolutely thrive.

And now we have Ace of Spades, which for once is a shooter that dares to be different. At one stage you could even headshot someone at range with the rifle while strafing if your skill was up to it. Now it's got a firing cone, and you actually want it to have sprinting as well?

No. Keep that gameflow destroying gameplay cancer away from this indie gem.

Yes,I agree with Deadshot here.CoD and BF is a same game but it's rules are just different in CoD if you got better guns and better perks your completely unstoppable to other players that has low levels than you. While BF is all about tactics and think before you make your move and what also is different between BF and CoD is their fan-base it's really not a bad thing on hating CoD or playing it.Yes,I got to admit that almost people who plays CoD are complete Douche bags but not all of them.Even Halo. Why hating stuffs that CoD has in it's game? but when it comes to BF almost everyone agrees. BF and CoD are almost the same game if you ask me.

AoS already has run and gun, I do it all the time but people of this community want it to have nothing, nothing at all that has to do with CoD but if has something to do with Battlefield then yes it is okay to have, which makes me a little mad, Sprinting could be great, it has been suggested many times before but it always gets shotdown so...
