Most likely. In Stack's video, Ben said that he would hold off on 0.55's release for another week or so to implement last-minute features. This will most likely be one of them considering its simplicity*.

I think we should defiantly have a kill feed that says things like that.

I remember one of my all time favorite multiplayer fps's had that, Black Hawk Down.

I wouldn't mind some kind of "killed with" notification, public or private. I have had votekicks initiated against me because I kill some person with a grenade and they assume I'm hacking and can shoot through walls. It has happened.

There have been a ton of good small suggestions like this one lately. Maybe the next update (after .55) should be small adjustments like these, and maybe could be completed quickly.

Sounds good. I'm a little annoyed by some people hearing sugestions like this(which take a page from games like COD) then being hipster about how the game would suck because it's not origanal. Player and weapon kill logs and killcams would be great.

I'd like AoS much better if it told you what killed you, that's cool.

Yeah this would be useful, esp. now that we'll have 3 guns, a grenade, and hopefully pickaxe damage in the near future.

not a fan of kill cams at all though, that just takes away from the gameplay

I think we should get a kill cam, but do it BF1942 style (where the camera just pans to face in the general direction you were hit from, without actually showing the shooter).

I love this game. I just really wish it would tell you what you were killed by. Sometimes I cant tell if I got sniped or if I was killed by a grenade.
I don't want a kill cam though, because that would give away where you are hiding (Would especially suck if you spent time making a really nice camouflaged bunker)
