I don't mind regulations, but the ones you're imposing are too tight.

Via technicalities, I am new. I've been here since 0.2, but I decided to abandon my past name/notoriety. Didn't really care for it.

I have actually started a clan, a serious one at that, and even if I am completely new and unknown, I don't think that's sound reasoning. I am taking it seriously, not just making it to be part of the crowd or just "because". I really want to have a good clan.

What I would suggest doing, is deleting any old/inactive clan topics. The forums could do with some pruning, in my opinion, and the clan side of the forum is no exception.

It's not much, but it's a start, and much more plausible/beneficial for the time being, at least.

It's getting out of control slightly, too many new clans are being created.
I'm not saying that I want to halt the creating of future clans, but I agree that it's get out of control.

Please, I'm sick of every newfag joining the forums, seeing a clan section, and thinking that it's perfectly fine to start "W33D WYZZARD5 super 1337 invit-only pr0 clan!!!"
By our current rules, this is allowed. But if it wasn't obvious by the tone of this thread, I think it shouldn't be.
Put some regulations on clan creation - the leader must be a well-known and well-liked person, the clan must be at least sort of serious, the OP must be sent to a moderator for approval - just something, anything more than the current rules we have now.
Don't get me wrong. The mods are doing a great job at being mods, and I'm not criticizing them. It's just that it's more than a little stupid to see 4 new clans a day that won't even get off the ground, all started by dumb newfags, and nothing is being done because technically, they can do that. This should not be acceptable behavior.
