<p>Wow, that totally made my day :) thanks.</p>
<p>One other Idea to make this game mode more interesting is have the players craft or Cook ammo...</p>
<p>After you get X amount of blocks, you can "Cook" or "Craft" more ammo...<br />
So you get 30 blocks, you can do a /AMMO in the chat, and you get your nearby team mates ammo filled 100%.</p>
<p>After so many kills, have it so you can do a "/HEAL" which heals you and nearby team mates.<br />
Might also have a unconditional heal like Killing floor... Hit team mate with pick or shovel heals them... you need to wait X amount of time till the healing regenerates.

<description><p>I love killing floor and L4Dead!</p>
<p>AoS could bring a new twang to it, by letting the human team have a little time to secure the base.</p>
<p>You start with 0 bricks and have to harvest them. You can use materials build barriers, and make walls thicker to slow them down.</p>
<p>This should make the beginning of the game more interesting. You need to first find a place... Harvest blocks, and build a shelter out of whatever the map provides you.<br />
Then as the zombies are attacking, you have to quickly switch through: Harvest mode, Build mode, and defend with guns.<br />
This should really mix up the game play, so it is not just a trigger pumping fest.</p>

<description><p>Just checking out some other posts about doing AI. I thought of a fun way to use bots to make a new game mode.</p>
<p>Copy and pasted from other thread:</p>
<p>You guys could make a Left4Dead type of game mode with this I bet!</p>
<p>Have one team as human players, and the other as Zombies that use only picks, and can dig UBER fast!!!</p>
<p>Here is my psudeo-code:</p>
<p>Bot spawns.<br />
bot chooses random number between 1 and 16.<br />
bot always tracks to the player # that the random generator made.<br />
Bot moves forward constantly attacking with the pick moving the aim slowly up and down so it can make a tunnel forward.</p>
<p>Other conditions:</p>
<p>**Pick causes damage so if the zombie makes it to the player, it will automatically Hurt/kill the player.</p>
<p>**When chosen player dies bot tracks to new random number.</p>
<p>**When player is above the center of bot, aim pattern changes to tunnel up making a stair case.</p>
<p>**Bot Dies automatically after X amount of time in case it gets stuck. (use this incase any other rule fails for some reason.)</p>
<p>**Bot also dies if the bot dose not move in the Y+ forward direction for X seconds. (give it time to fall from the top of the map, to the water + the time it takes to break a few blocks.)</p>
<p>Other things you might Add:</p>
<p>**Make some of the bots track to the intel or tent. When 3 bots occupy the intel, or the capture tent zone the round is over, Zombies the victor! (or any bot occupy zone for X amount of time.)</p>
<p>** Have a boss bot that can fly, and choose nearby players for a random "Swarm" mode where all bots go after 1 player for X amount of time. (might be fun to increase the bots movement speed to make it more challenging, defending your team mates. )<br />
L4dead does this swarm thing with the big exploding zombies. Pretty fun , totally changes game play.</p>
<p>I have done some simple AI with the blender game engine using only logic bricks. It is not like FEAR's AI by any means.<br />
It is still better than nothing though.
