Hey, your the boss, just throwing sum ideas at you ;], at the very least id suggest re-naming the existing catagories, for instance suggestions into Ideas and suggestions, clans into clans and groups, or clan discussion. etc

Secondly, you admins really need to hammer down on the trolling/flaming and general douchbagery, currently we have no consequences, we can pretty do what we like without reprisal.

Not anything, but a very large amount of ppl get away with almost everything, without even a 3 day ban for spam, or a 3 day ban for excessive flaming and trolling. then a 7 day up to 30 days for repeat offenders.

^ THAT is what would help sort out the forums, once ppl see they are actualy going to get banned for breaking the rules, they will be less inclined to do so.

I know the staff wouldn't want anywhere near as many categories as that!
We'd be interested in ideas that only have maybe on more full category than what we currently have.
I'd personally be interested in seeing ideas for descriptions and names of the ones we already have.

I say we re-work the forums now, they may be a lil oversisedd for our community, but that emans if we do it now, itl be easier.

In future we have larger community, its becomes more difficult to re-work the forums or manage them, so imo we get it done now =]

this way, the community gets used to them, and using them, rather then ht emass confusion later on with a huge community.

I like the idea of redoing/renaming the subforums, but I'm not too sure about all the new sub-forums. The community's not all that big and I haven't really seen much related to the last four sub-forums.

There's been plenty of forum games/spam at least, so that justifies the Forum Games sub-forum. I'd also like a seperate Announcements forum to keep the updates from being swallowed up by gameplay topics.

I'd definitely advocate the latter four sub-forums when the time is right, but as it is right now, I don't think we need them.

The forums page should display on one page all these links to the sub forums, then clicking will take you to the list of threads in each appropriated section.

Then in each category, have a stickied thread at the top, with the rules for that section.

I.E in the suggestions and ideas, a sticky called " Do NOT suggest" then list the commonly suggested items.

that way if a person makes a suggestion that is on the DO NOT suggest list, just close or delete the thread
