just want to add this, supercool is amazing but the new one is sorta bad...also if you dig down to the lowest point on the latest supercool map it is water

Even if Buffet was trying to steal the map, claim it as his own work, and attempt to fraud John and everyone who's built on that server (myself being one of the somewhat significant contributors, if I may say so myself) credit for the builds, it still wouldn't justify a ban from the forums. It's a misbehavior in-game and with server-hosting, and technically I don't see how John could hope to copyright the map anyways. There's simply too many contributors.

So even supposing Buffet is trying to be a dick (which I very much doubt), it would be ridiculous to ban him from the forums. Frankly, I wouldn't mind if a known in-game hacker used the forums, provided he could behave politely in his posts.

I doubt John would really mind people using the map for stuff, anyways. I've never heard that he wasn't OK with MegaDeuce's grieferfest. In AoS, all that really matters for most hosts and map authors is that they have their own, unaltered file of the original map.

First, I once saved the map, and didn't even host it, and BAM banned forever on SuperCool Build. Second, I work hard on my maps, and I HATE it when I see it being hosted and my name has been erased by some scriptkiddie that thinks he is so great, taking out in Voxed. But whatever, they wanna take credit, who cares. They KNOW they didn't make it, so they can't feel proud. Also, Buffet_of_Lies pisses me off. I had trusted him with the admin password, and he gave it away to multiple people, crashed my server before I could save it, and banned both me and my friend from my OWN server. Obviously, I unbanned myself, but it was too late.

I just wonder.. how can you expect us to ban him from the forums for an incident about a server that we have no information on?
Surely he is just spreading the platform of great art?
I also doubt he'd do this with any form of spite either, might be a mis-understanding or the like.

It's just a map in the end, has no real-world value. Sure, it might be annoying to have that done, but buffet_of_lies has done nothing but contribute with his posts/maps on the forums here. And some of his maps are used actually, I for one like most of his maps - namely 'no-man's land' and one I hope he will release soon.

I wouldn't support the banment of him. As ReubenMcHawk has pointed out, it's rather easy to do it. Take it as a compliment that others want to host your artwork!
