The advantage of stairs is that you can autoclimb them, in AoS we have autoclimb even when there's 1 block of elevation difference so we do not have to need for those stairs.

Ladders are a fine suggestion in my opinion, how would you place them?

Vickers and mortar could be intel capturing rewards in my opinion.

C4 could be a nice alternative grenade which you can't throw.
