    Instant Name Changer [Official Thread]

    Hello everybody, I got a nice new program that anybody can use! The program simply changes your name based on what you type in. In order for the name change to be successful your Ace of Spades path must be

    %HOMEDRIVE%\Program Files (x86)\Ace of Spades

    If your path is not the above, the name change will not be successful. If you have any problems with the program, please email me at [email protected]
    Also please note: I am working on a complete spades utility, with everything you made need from easy res changes and more!
    Download my program below...

    http://download947.mediafire.com/o06dmo72nmgg/3qfunn2871qxrr3/Name+Changer.exe

    If the above does not work you can try the following...
    http://www.mediafire.com/?3qfunn2871qxrr3
    http://uppit.com/fgb9khulh4tn/Name_Changer.exe

    Top Projects...
    1. Making a quick video showing how easy the name changer is to use!
    2. Allowing the game to run with 32 bit systems.
    2. Making my name changer operable with other directories such as desktop.
    3. Finishing the complete Ace of Spades Utility.
    4. Need a 24 x 24 pixel .ico image for a program icon! All credits to the will go to you for the image

    Known issues...
    1. You cannot change your name with a 32 bit system as the path does not work which is "%HOMEDRIVE%/Program Files/Ace of Spades" it refuses to work. Though the 64 bit is "%HOMEDRIVE%/Program Files (x86)/Ace of Spades" and it works fine.

    Why anyone would need a program to change their name is beyond me, but it looks clean enough.

    I personally find it much easier to use this program to change my name. I hate moving the files around after an update, even if it saves you maybe 30 seconds or less, there may be various times when you may want to change your name in the middle of a game. I can think of a few...

    Also, the program was just released as I mentioned before, It will evolve into a complete Ace of Spades Utility program.

    Damn this is what i got, but it ends up erasing the settings:
    @echo off
    echo where is ace of spades installed?
    set /p TYPE=
    cd %TYPE%
    pause
    echo What name would you like?
    set /p NAME=
    pause
    SETLOCAL=ENABLEDELAYEDEXPANSION

    rename config.ini config.tmp
    for /f %%a in (config.tmp) do (
    set foo=%%a
    if !foo!==Deuce set foo=%NAME%
    echo !foo! >> config.ini)
    del config.tmp

    move C:[Path]\config.ini C:\Ace Of Spades\ but it stayed in C:[Path]\

    Might I suggest using %HOMEDRIVE% incase the user might have a different homedrive other then C:\ where information is saved to. Although this won't solve your problem

    Please refrain from posting in this thread as a much better program has been released with a ability to change the volume, resolution, name. Also you can launch the game, Create a server, and Start the forums.

    @rocket138 I've tried multiple times changing the path to work with 32 bit systems, and I am not releasing the .bat files.

    Please post in this new thread with the latest and highly improved product.
