Who would like to see crawling in this game? I for one would like it, and have heard other people talk about it in the game. It would make cover and tunneling easier (depending on your circumstances) and would be really cool in general! -crawling would make no noise ^pros -you could not use any weapons/tools while moving in crawl mode (meaning in order to shoot or dig you would have to stay still on the ground) so what do you guys think? good idea or no? |

I like it. Being able to go prone seems logical. |

Hmm. The game is already revolves around camping/sniping a fair amount, I can see the introduction of this making it harder to anti-camp. You say it'd be easier to headshot, but that's not true: you're just as likely to headshot, except there would be little chance of doing body/limb hits. That said, it would be an interesting addition to the game. It's a cool idea but I can see it could run into some balancing issues at the moment. Upon getting new weapons, features like this may help to balance rather than hinder the gameplay, but that will remain to be seen. But generally for now, I would be against the idea. |

It's totally unnecessary- crouching already makes you silent, and is slow enough as it is. Crawling would be at a complete snail's pace by default. Also how you are standing currently has no bearing whatsoever on your recoil/accuracy. This is a good thing. We can already see out of 1 voxel spaces. Knowing the gap would have to be enlarged before anyone could get through enables players to read each other's tactics better. As for cover- you don't need an extra layer to move down- crouching is instantaneous and already works as an excellent way to enter cover and avoid fire. Besides, in my experience, when an enemy crouches behind cover in a trench, I can often sprint around their flank and take them out from the side before they have finished relocating and popped up again. Introducing a prone position that took twice the time to relocate would make taking them out just too damn easy. You'd even be tempted to fire a warning shot to get them to turn to face you, because when they're facing you, any shot you land on them would be a guaranteed headshot. |

I support this. The crawling shouldn't be much slower than crouchwalking, but there should be some difficulty in turning around since you're lying down... Maybe even make it impossible to turn around in a tunnel unless it's 2 blocks wide. The ability to crawl has uses beyond just tunneling, for instance if you have very little cover or none at all and want to minimize your risk of being shot. Crawling has been an important strategy in real wars for this reason, and it fits perfectly in a game like AoS. |

I would only approve if the following CONS were added -No tools or grenades may be used at all when prone And this may seem redundant, but the model MUST be in a position where the head is really the only thing you could see if looked at from the same height. |

And have the character model 2 horizontal blocks long as well. |

Are you talking about in real life or in the game? Because in the game it doesn't seem to make any difference. |

Must be because I barely ever crouch- I usually choose to dodge instead. |

If the crawling would be implemented, the players could crawl on the edge of a block, and could place blocks next to it (for bridges) without the "fly-trick". So I think it would be cool. |

and i Also think that while in crouch mode, like minecraft, you cannot fall of blocks (unless you jump) GOOD IDEA?? |

Not too good, because now we using crouch to fall of one block sized holes. But we could use walk for this, instead of crouching. |
