Auto-climbing was the worst thing that could happen to AoS. I think the terrain should be harder to move in. It gives a better purpose for tunneling and making trenches, plus the animation of auto-climbing sucks. If Ben doesnt remove this he will loose an old fan of AoS...

I personally don't like it, but I don't think I'll stop playing because the developer made a choice that didn't make everyone happy.

I think the game's core fanbase has already moved away, what with the teamkilling, minimap, and yes, autoclimbing too.

I know, its not very old, but its older than a month, and i was there in the start.

updates didn't kill the fan base. It was simply people playing a game for a little while, then getting bored of it. p.s. auto-climb made it better.

I do so much better with this autoclimb, so I dont have to focus on jumping, and focus on sniping peoples heads off :D...

What I think would be better than autoclimb would be instant acceleration. To be more clear, when you start to move forward you would go as fast as you can, not speed up for a short time than go. It makes jumping a pain in the ass because you slow down every time you move up. If Jumping didn't slow you down, then auto climb would not be needed.

I hate auto-climb so much; I wish I could hate it to death. The whole pace of the game has changed because players can just zip right over mountains as if there were escalators built into them. The only good that has come of it is that the Deuces no longer ask "Durrrr how does i get out off wateer???/"

me personally, i love the mini map, and I like the auto climb. It doesn't just hurt you, it makes it easer to move around so u don't waste all you time hitting the space bar to move.

Has anyone actually noticed that you run slower downhill with your Auto-Climb "feature"???

I like autoclimb, but I wish it was slower. Perhaps a bit faster than crouching speed.

After all, running up a 45° slope is actually really fucking hard in real life. Climbing mountains should have severe tactical repercussions, instead of right now where mountains don't even matter. It's like Spaceman said, players can just zip right over mountains as if there were escalators built into them and it kind of sucks IMHO.

That's not a bad idea, Axle. It might still be harder to aim at a climbing enemy, but at least it would be easier than 0.49's auto climb
