    Some say this would ruin the game, all I want is for people to be happy.
    I would LIKE
    -Automatic guns (machine guns, like a Thompson from Cod WaW
    -Pistol (8 bullets per clip)
    -Sniper rifle ( you know, with a scope!)
    -I would also like the same old rifle that we have now, as a class.
    -LMG
    *EDIT, ( I forgot)
    -Shotgun

    - Automatic guns would completely throw off gameplay. The current rifle would have to be scoped (even more zoom) to even come close to compensating against automatic weapons.

    - Pistols would be alright, but an 8 round magazine (NOT a clip) would give it no advantage over the rifle

    - The current rifle is already similar to a sniper rifle

    - Again, automatic weapons would throw off the game, and bullet damage to blocks would have to be taken out again

    - Most maps are wide open expanses, shotguns would hardly ever have a good use

    This is game is based loosely off of WWI, not Call Of Duty. People say these suggestions will ruin the game for a reason.

    The pistol would be alight, I think a flame thrower wouldn't be out of place and maybe if you could place Maximes (fixed MGs) that could be good. Altenrnatives to the grenade (Someone mentioned a c4 charge type thing or an rpg) could work. As previously stated, the rest would ruin everything in the game, and these might as well. maybe vehicles could be good. A boat of biplane that's easily sunk/ shot down or we could take a leaf out of Monash's book and bring tanks to the Great war. The single shot rifle is working so well for the game now that it'd almost be a shame to change it. I agree that this game should stay different from the other fps games, so the devs should be very careful about what they implement.

    Just give it a lower damage and a slight trajectory rather than perfectly straight - make it 5 ish headshots to kill.
    Look at my wiki page for my ideas. You'll notice I suggest having different block-damage for each weapon, too..

    As for shotguns, it could become quite a neat weapon if they had some spread.. they'd do reasonable damage to blocks in comparison to the auto's and would be deadly at closer range.

    first off Ben said this game is based off the Vietnam war/ww2 so your wrong there.
    load outs is just a copy of call of duty. however smgs would do the same damage as a rifle depending on the bullet type.
    a Thompson smg would do the same damage as your rifle.
    as for shotguns only a double barreled shotgun should be a but players would regret this as nobody gonna run out there like a maniac.
    pistols is an idea i would agree to but only with 7 rounded clips and maybe a 35 round magazines in reserve.
    the pistol could be suppressed and would need a decent set of iron-sights and a model so the M1911 (pictured) would make a great model.

    if u actualy knew what ur talkin about, ben said its not based off of anything, but it does have some Vietnamese influences, THAT DOES NOT MEAN ITS BASED OFF THE VIETNAMESE WAR

    I could see them used indoors, in tunnels and trenches. You know, like they have actually been used in warfare.
    Then again, wide open expanses isn't neccessarily a bad thing for a shotgun , they can be quite lethal out to 50+ yards given right size shots. Why not make it the first game in a while with an actually decent shotgun depiction?

    IMO it would be better to give an automatic weapon a larger "spread" instead of lower damage with headshots.

    One possibility would be replacing the current rifle with a selective fire carbine. You can take decent aimed shots with it, and you can lay down suppressive fire in automatic mode. I see no purpose for a burst fire mode in AOS as that would quite possibly be overpowered.

    Just my $0.02.

    The thing is, that's not how shotguns actually work. You have to aim pretty well, to be honest, due to the *relatively* slow speed and small spread of the shots at 50 yards.

    EDIT: Added emphasis, and would like to add that the shotgun's barrel choke also plays a major part of the shot spread with distance - not mentioning that was a brain fart.

    -Shotguns could have limited ranges before they loose their damage,

    -Machine guns would be awesome (they would have to be pretty inaccurate & would not get a zoom),

    -Rifles are OVERPOWERED and too accurate (only snipers should be that accurate),

    -Sniper rifles would be awesome but should not be allowed to be fired from the hip,

    -Bazookas would be decent if they were an optional load out with only two shots,

    -Pistols would make an excellent option to reloading in a fire fight,

    and... PEOPLE SERIOUSLY STOP FREAKIN OUT ABOUT *PROGRESS*

    PS when people call a weapon a game ruiner it means they are afraid that their favorite strategy/exploitation won't work anymore if more weapons came and balanced the game out.
