Earlier today, me and my little brother went on a server called Evil's Playground and our based was griefed very badly. One who actually had a name, he was called F***.
They teamkilled us a few times and we tried to kick them but we didnt get enough votes so he wasn't kicked. He was also saying nasty words and phrases can someone come up with a solution to griefers except the vote kick system?

I need ideas so we could possibly get the creator to hear.

You know, this stuff is typical for AoS, but if you're lucky you'll play with an admin and there will be no problems then.

but there needs to be free accounts so you sign up and then there should be a report system to ban that account.

Ben has mentioned that he is planning to create a votekick UI (e.g. a box that appears or something) to replace the text command. That should help immensely.

Personally I think that a votekick UI, if implemented correctly, would solve it. If it doesn't then either the UI would need improving and/or new ideas come about. It's just difficult to prevent griefers while not being restrictive on the players that want to play the game properly.

By the way, there are ~20 other threads about griefing - half of which are about anti-griefing suggestions... so it'd be helpful to use the search next time to check if there's already a thread about this topic.

A good solution would be to make the blocks place by a player unbreakable by anyone but that player and the enemy simple if that can be coded.untell that player leaves server or an admin can break the blocks only bad part would be that people would place blocks in bad places causing to be hard to get around but maybe with some fine tuning this could help with the griefing problem

Same here bro, I know that it is part of the game, but when you get onto a freshly updated server that doesn't get reset often and you have 3-6 people greifing the buildings to make them fall down it is very fustrating. There has got to be a way to stop this bs from happening. There is no place to hide and it is very aggrovating when people are idiodic and collapse all structures. I was playing on a us west map the dark fort and it was just reset and there were 5 or so griefers destroying everything and it mad me mad. So i tried to kick one to warn the others and after the votekick ended they kicked me and i wasn't doing anything wrong. I was playing to get the intel and they were like, "he's griefing kick him." BEN PLEASE MAKE THIS a non greifing game. There has got to be a way to make it easier to kick the greifers. How about they can only break so many blocks more than they build.

Everytime I am in a server, there is a griefer and some heroes try following him around and shooting him, while others scream "GREEEEEEEEFT" and try votekicking him.

But that doesn't work very well :|

@Mchawk i know just an idea other than that it would have to come to some sort of block permission system for player who play on a certain server enough to be trusted and allowed to place blocks and destroy blocks of people who might be block spamming honestly no way to stop it imho with out a white list or something similar but than that kill playability :l

If you're talking in terms of keeping a structure from being grieved, it is impossible. One person can easily take out a bunch of blocks. Not to mention minecraft-like structures are targeted even more since they don't help anyone. And if you expect it to stay up after you leave, that's impossible, it will come down.

And in terms of trolling, you can just ignore them. That issue is completely your problem. I'd have much less fun fucking with others be it that people don't say anything back. Keep in mind that it's just a game and more importantly you're on the internet.

We don't need a better votekicking system. The current one in most servers (which are pyspades) prevents people from back-to-back votekicks and a very miniscule amount of people are required to vote (1/4 i think, i still believe it's stupid it's that small for many reasons). Not to mention you're banned for 15 minutes if you leave during one, which I also think is very stupid for an array of reasons. Usually the very votekicking system everyonr complained for is the same one that is heavily abusable. Still, simply start the votekick first, don't look like a dick about it in the chat when you do, and dont't litter the chat with /y pls or everyone vote y or /y for x or etcetera because to me personally, I'll do the griever a favor and be a faggot back and spam the fuck out of my votekicks on you, and I imagine most will do the same and add a couple more /ys to the vote.
