  • Why is AoS crashing?
  •

ok i don't have cheat engine, i re-installed the game, i've also tried to de-install it and install it again, but the game still crashes without any errors when the progress bar is full(like this guy: http://ace-spades.com/forums/topic.php?id=709 )
    did someone solve this problem?

P.S:and that's strange because it worked yesterday...

Me too dudes. Can't connect to any server, full or not. Re-install does nothing.

It could be caused by some non-responding server used by Ace of Spades - I can't host a server, it stops on sending HTTP request for external IP.
Client probably uses the same thing for finding its IP, so I'd guess that the reason behind crashing is just a faulty server on the developer's side.

Me too because I read http://whatismyip.com has something to do with it and I can't connect to it, even though apparentley the website is accessible.
I was playing earlier today and yesterday but everytime I download a map, when the bar's full it says 'Error! - Couldn't get IP address.'
Tried re-installing, firewall access etc. nothing.
    lil' help?

For me, it loads all the way and then closes with "Couldn't get ip adress".

    Same problem here.

I was playing on a server called Minecraft with a friend (if any of you were there as well, we're the ones building the pink castle thing.), suddenly we all lagged and was forced out. Refreshed the play page and turns out the server's gone.

Now I can't get into the usual servers I go on with friends; map transfer reaches near full then stops, AOS closes without an error message. Tried re-installing and used CC cleaner but still no luck so far.

    Help?

Client.exe get your outside ip address from http://whatismyip.com/
If whatismyip.com not working (or not allowed for you) - game write @error@ and not working.
    IMHO.

The whatsmyip.com issue occured because whatsmyip.com changed the URL for their script, which broke any service (Ace of Spades included) that was currently using it.

It will most likely be fixed by Ben in his next update, which I hope should be soon.
If I were him I would consider coding in a backup incase whatismyip fails.
