    Download: AoS Lite Browser

Yet another browser, this one is standalone though with a small twist that it aims to be very small in filesize and lightwieght in features; all while retaining a really nice and simple to use GUI.

Done in C#, you'll need at least the .NET 3.5 Framework to run this. (It should tell you what you're missing if you don't) Sorry to non-windows users, it might still work through Wine. :( Maybe if interest is high I'll attempt a port to Java, this isn't a promise though. This was done out of wanting to brush up on a little coding and wanting to contribute something to AoS.

    Screen shot:
    Interface

    More information:
    Readme.txt

    Features:
    - Flexible server list sorting
    - Loading/saving favorite servers from a text file (you can now share your favorite servers and track them)
    - Loads from the client (Just passes the server address as an argument; nothing special)
    - Server search, supports partial searching too
    - Copying server addresses to the clipboard with a simple ctrl+c
    - Server filters (Has Players/Not Full)
    - Tells you is there's an update available for the Lite Browser
    - Possibly more I've forgotten

This is sort of a beta for this as well, although I did try to test it for anything that'd break it too much.

Working fine for me. Looks to be more accurate than the web based ones as well. Cool deal.

Being a local executable, it solves the problem with the pings on browser based like mine =)

It's working really nicely. Although I will keep my website up, no download required, and not every1 feels confortable about running exe's on their Pc from some1 they don't know =)

    Thanks for the support everyone!

And I acknowledge the fear some people may have in running a single executable Morthor, so I'm glad we have your web-based alternative to boot.

I also released an update recently, the previous version should be notifying that there is an update. In this update I've included the following changes and fixes:

    * New application icon - No longer using the default AOS icon
    * Optimized and tightened the codebase - Shaved off a good 50kb from the last release
    * Faster server reading and loading - Trying an alternative method to load the raw server list from html; report back if it's faster or slower please?
    * Fixed favorites not registering correctly - They wouldn't register as saved immediately
    * Fixed the game attempting to launch when spamming sorting - Sometimes sorting would trigger the current server highlighted to launch

If anyone else find a bug or would like to drop off suggestions/comment I'm open to them. Thanks guys. =)

That's working really great for me, really do like it. Far easier than the site, at least, nice work.

Great to see the official forums are back.

Made a ton of changes during the downtime of the forums. You can read those in the changelog: here

Feel free to leave suggestions, bugs/issues in this thread.

I updated it about an hour or so ago; there was an issue parsing the server list from the new website layout.

Check to see if the current version you have is flagging "Update Available" in the menu bar - if it is click that and download the newest version which should be 1.0.7

it would be nice if it remembered the client location (you know how to use 'settings' in c# right)

Can you link to the latest version, or better yet a webpage that keeps track of it as you update it?

I use Spadille. (No offense to AoS Lite Browser) I just like the features it includes. Can't remember where I got it from though.

AoS Lite Browser doesn't seem to work anymore. It doesn't find any servers even though there are plenty on the AoS page.

@Taurus, not sure what's wrong with it, maybe Ben modified the page that lists the servers and it broke it.

You can try Spadille or another Server Browser.
