First off: yes, I used "search" to check for similar topics. No joy.

OK, some of you may have seen me before, both in game and on the wiki, by the same name. Some of you may have heard me mention a personal collection of custom weapon skins (most of you probably haven't, so I'm mentioning it again, dang it!). I have about two dozen nice (if I may say so myself), to-scale, as-realistic-as-visually-possible models of real-world guns, all tested in AoS. I'd very much like to share them as a "demo version" of a full pack to be released later.

The problem, in a nutshell, is that when it comes to using third-party sites for uploads, I R n00b. I'd like a trustworthy site (AKA not MediaFire... any way you can stop using it, Ben? Please? For the sake of your fans' harddrives?) to use for uploading my files... EG no spam, no malware, no BS in general. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

i dont know what your problem with it is, but its free, very few ads on the site usualy, easy to upload and to set up an account on, they dont send spam emails, infact, ive NEVER got any emails except my confirmation email from them, there's no limit, AND its easy to sort files on the site.

Theres Mediafire, Filesmelt, Megaupload, 4shared, and Hotfile. Those are the ones that I use the most, except filesmelt.. I don't like it.

@alexthecreeper: I've had a totally different experience with them, in the forms of pop-ups, malicious software download attempts, and other BS. Glad to hear it works for you, but I'd rather not use it myself. Thanks for your feedback.

@TheAmerican: Thanks for your feedback as well. Which of those would you say is the most safe/secure/trusthworthy?

Free file hosting sites are always ad-supported. Get over it, or get a premium account.

what's bad about mediafire? i see absolutely no problems with it. maybe it's because i use adblock. all i see is a white site, with some stuff at the top and a download link in the middle. i can't see any problems with it. at all.

I've looked into the list TheAmerican provided, and from what I can tell Filesmelt will work the best. I'm wondering if anyone else has used it, and what experiences they've had with it.

Basically, I'm seriously overprotective of my harddrive.

Ooh... glad you caught that. I'll try it out, hopefully I'll have the demo version of my "armory" set up as soon as I can get it working. Thanks Lythrynyx!

Update: Dropbox can't share entire folders very well. Scratch that... now to try Filesmelt.

Update: Again, scratch that. Is there any good, non-MediaFire way to upload a whole folder, rather than single files?
