  • How to host your own server (Tutorial)
  •

First off you obviously need the newest version of AoS, once you download that, the Ace of Spades Server comes with it.

Second you'll need a router with access to it.

Okay so now you should be ready, start by opening Command Prompt. You can access Command Prompt by going to start and typing cmd or click 'Run' and typing cmd.
    Here what it looks like-

Once CMD is open type in this - "ipconfig"
Now something like this will appear -

(I blacked out my personal info, I only left what was needed for the tutorial)

    Now keep that up.
Go in to you internet browser and input you Default Gateway number into the address bar.
    This-

Now you will see your router info.
I have a linksys so for this tutorial I will be using linksys.
BTW your router may ask for a username and password, info may be provided on the back of your actual router or you can google it. Common is - Admin/Password.

If your running linksys you should see-

Click on the"applications and gaming" tab.
Now your to the main part!

Now enter your information like I did-

(*You can make the name different though)

    Name - *
    Port number - 32887 to 32887
    UDP
    *Your IPv4 address.*

    Check enable,

    Save Changes.

Now the final step is to start the AoS server.
Load a map or gen one.
    enter a number of user
    Enter a name.

    Your good to go.

    Please sticky if this helped.

PS. One last note, I made an uploader than can hold 50 MB per file, its free if you want to use it.

This doesn't seem particularly helpful... it's a port-forwarding guide, if anything.

I port forwarded my computer, and it's currently running on a wireless network card.

Yes but port forwarding is a very important part of it.

As long as you have access to your router and your connected to it VIA wireless then yes, you can port forward.

Hosting a server over wifi causes a little lag, though. You should use a wired connection if you're going to host servers.
