    This is based on my belief that AoS is a WAR GAME, not a WWI or WWII or Vietnam war game. Just, a war game.

    Just Suggestions. Also, to make the Cp more useful, you should be able to switch guns there. Examples:
    You can only carry 2 guns at a time.
    Three types of guns and three categories:
    There are 9 guns:

    Power houses:
    Power houses will have VERY SLOW reload times. Also very limited ammunition (minigun exeption) They will also have lots of recoil and are deployable-only.
    They must be deployed over a block 2 blocks higher then the one you are standing on. To deploy you must hold them and right click. You cannot throw grenades. Recoil is reduced if mounted while having 3 block high side walls for the 2 block high structure. They are very good against masses and overall building destroying.

    Mounted Minigun:
    Speed: 5 shots per second.
    Recoil: 3px per 2 1/2 shots.
    With sidewalls: 1px per 3 shots.
    Reload speed: 15 seconds.
    Max shots: 80
    Max clip: 40
    Zoom: x1 1/2
    Block destruction capability: 1 block per 2 shots.
    Damage:
    Body/leg hit: 45 per shot
    Head hit: 90 per shot
    Hand hit: 25 per shot
    Range: Not very far.
    Overall: Not good for destroying structures as the other power houses but great for attacking masses. Leaves most of the face exposed to stop 1 person raids from destroying everything. Only good with backup cover.

    Mounted dual Railgun:
    Speed: 1 shot per second.
    Recoil: 4 px per shot.
    With sidewalls: 3px per shot.
    Reload speed: 2 1/2 seconds.
    Max shots: 20
    Max clip: 5
    Zoom: x4
    Block destruction capability: 2 block per shot (in a line).
    Damage:
    Body/leg hit: 90 per shot
    Head hit: 100 per shot
    Hand hit: 35 per shot
    Range: Far.
    Overall: Very good for powerhouse sniping. Not good with masses. Leaves little head exposed yet faceplate is breakable. Semi-good at breaking structures. Mostly poorly constructed intel towers will fall to this. Great with Ak-74 backup. Bad against Rockets and grenades.

    Tri-mounted rocket launcher:
    Speed: 1 1/2 shots per second (when held down).
    Recoil: 4 px per shot.
    With sidewalls: 3 px per shot.
    Reload speed: 3 seconds.
    Max shots: 15
    Max clip: 3
    Zoom: x1 1/2
    Block destruction capability: 3x3x3 block area per shot.
    Damage:
    Body/leg hit: 100 per shot
    Head hit: 100 per shot
    Hand hit: 75 per shot
    Range: Midrange.
    Overall: Great for utter destruction. Provides no cover for head. Heavily limited ammo. Bad against Automatics. Overheat if fired 5 shots in 8 seconds and explodes and destroys a 5x5x5 area killing the user.

    Stealth guns:
    These are very good for one-man intel treks. Very quiet guns with medium ammo. Little recoil and fast reload. Good for sniping. Not good for Ramboing or raiding. Very very bad for block destruction. Most have long range.

    Semi-automatic Dual Handgun:
    Speed: 4 shots per second.
    Recoil: 2px per 2 shots.
    Reload speed: 3 seconds.
    Max shots: 60
    Max clip: 20
    Zoom: x1 1/2
    Block destruction capability: 1 block per 5 shots.
    Damage:
    Body/leg hit: 45 per shot
    Head hit: 85 per shot
    Hand hit: 15 per shot
    Range: Near-ish.
    Overall: Not that great of a stealth gun. Good for people needing a fast, quiet gun. Clip is low, mostly for one or two people encounters. Makes little sound either way.

    Silent Sniper rifle. (mountable)
    Speed: 1 shots per 2 seconds.
    Recoil: 2px per shot.
    Reload speed: 2 seconds.
    Max shots: 40
    Max clip: 10
    Zoom: x5
    Block destruction capability: 1 block per 5 shots.
    Damage:
    Body/leg hit: 20 per shot
    Head hit: 100 per shot
    Hand hit: 5 per shot
    Range: Very far..
    Overall: Could be the best sniper if you want to remain unknown while sniping (the general idea of it). Makes a little click sound. Tracer is very, very little. Is the WORST gun for destroying. Anything. Provides a destructible faceplate if mounted. Only mounts with sidewalls.

    Silenced Pistol:
    Speed: 1 shots per second.
    Recoil: 1px per shot.
    Reload speed: 2 seconds.
    Max shots: 45
    Max clip: 10
    Zoom: x2
    Block destruction capability: 1 block per 2 shots.
    Damage:
    Body/leg hit: 35 per shot
    Head hit: 100 per shot
    Hand hit: 15 per shot
    Range: Midrange.
    Overall: Good for tunneling. Very useful in long treks with low enemy encounters. Makes no sound firing. Makes Very VERY little sound hitting enemy. Makes low sound hitting blocks. Bad against multiple people. This pistol is the Stealth gun categories most destructive weapon.

    Soldier guns:
    These guns are the regular, right of the bat guns you receive when you first join the game. They are average. No specialty expect being all rounded. When you want to go and get the job done on the front lines, the raids, the whatever. These are for you.

    Ak-74:
    Speed: 3 shots per second.
    Recoil: 2px per shot.
    Reload speed: 5 seconds.
    Max shots: 50
    Max clip: 10
    Zoom: x1 1/2
    Block destruction capability: 1 block per 3 shots.
    Damage:
    Body/leg hit: 40 per shot
    Head hit: 95 per shot
    Hand hit: 15 per shot
    Range: Near range..
    Overall: Good against rockets. Great overall automatic gun for raids or flat out killing. Bad for sniping. Also yes. This is a Ak-74, not 47, thats an OLD model.

    Current Rifle:
    The current rifle :P

    Piston rocket launcher:
    Speed: 1 shots per 2 seconds.
    Recoil: 10 px per shot.
    Reload speed: 8 seconds.
    Max shots: 10
    Max clip: 2
    Zoom: x2
    Block destruction capability: 2x2x2 block area per shot.
    Damage:
    Body/leg hit: 100 per shot
    Head hit: 100 per shot
    Hand hit: 50 per shot
    Range: Midrange.
    Overall: Want to blow stuff up? Take this gun. Great for overall destruction. Not so great without cover or backup. Very bad against automatics. Very. Again, just your run-of-the-muck rocket launcher.

    Again, Leave suggestions BELOW. This is MY list. If you want to make one go ahead. But dont say that im "wrong" or it doesn't fit the game. This is just a example. If you want to prove me wrong make another list.

    I think it'd be cool if a server host could decide what guns could be used on that particular server. I do like the ideas though, but adding them all in would make it excessive.

    You've said not to say that you're wrong, but I say, screw that. You're in a public forum, you've presented an idea, and I'm going to criticize it. I don't want to be at all troll-like, but I genuinely feel that this is a bad idea, and feel that the reasons why should be explained. I'm not interested in debating further than this... online debates almost never get anywhere, and your list, plus my argument, should present both sides as much as needed.

    To be blunt, there are way too many guns. I've heard people criticize ideas as being too much like COD, and other people criticize the first group for classifying any shooter with a collection of guns as COD. Both sides have their points, but this many different guns is just too many.

    Plus, a minigun that can destory blocks in two hits at a high rate of fire? Have you ever even heard of griefers? I don't mean to sound troll-like, but that's really a very, very bad idea. 80 rounds total is enough to destroy forty blocks... that's more than enough to destroy the average-sized structure. Most of the guns you've described are way too overpowered. One minigun could make a total mess of several bunkers, and while the user is, technically, vulnerable, the sheer amount of firepower would make shooting at it nearly suicidal.

    Then, the rail-gun. I assume you meant a rail-MOUNTED gun, a proven design, rather than a true rail-gun, of which there are only a few working prototypes in the world today. It's got a slower rate of fire, but the ability to take out two blocks in a line is also a griefer's dream-come true. Most of my structures have a two-block thick front to protect them from gunfire and grenades, but hacing to make them three blocks thick would make the field of view prohibitive. A two-block thick wall is already too thick to be much use in hillsides. This, like the minigun, would really underpower bunkers.

    The rocketlauncher's also a bad idea. The destructive capablity of a grenade is relatively easy to defend against, but 15 of them at long range? Bad idea, although slightly less griefing potential than the previous two powerhouse weapons.

    The stealth weapons aren't too much better. The sniper rifle is perhaps the best idea, but it's irritating enough to get sniped out of nowehere as it is. Given silenced sniper rifles, maps would fill with a few good spancampers in well-concealed locations, and a bunch of other people who get killed within five seconds of spawning unless they're REALLY lucky, and don't have any hope of finding their killers and avenging themselves. The pistol and dual-handguns make spray-'n'-pray practical, and that's also a bad thing.

    The standard rifles are a more mixed bunch. I obviously have no objections to the current rifle, but the AK-74 seems insufficiently different to make it worth the trouble of implementing. The only major difference is the high rate of fire. It would be like the standard rifle, with speedhacks. I don't like speedhackers, and I'm willing to bet you don't either (assuming you joined the game before the checksums imporved. If you didn't, you have no idea what I'm talking about. Ask Lexsym how mad she made a server using them). The rocket launcher isn't a totally rotten idea, but if used it would have to require two players to use, like many real infantry-issue rocket launchers, both current and obsolete. The small destructive area does lower griefing potential a bit, but overall I think the ability to snipe with rockets could be a problem.

    So, those are my opinions. Like I said, I'm not really interested in debating about them further, but please at least read them thoroughly and try to understand my points. Believe it or not, I DID think about them.

    I'd agree too many weapons are a bad thing. The game is simple, so should the weapon choice.

    My idea: Rifle, Shotgun, Automatic, Dual Pistols.
    No secondary weapons, all primaries. You choose one on spawn, and then can switch at your CP if you want to.

    Listen. All the weapons ive listen balance each other out, you guys are so absurd to change yet it is a BETA game, change is inevitable. 9 guns is not to many. See a noob using a minigun? Pull out a rocket launcher. 1337101 just doesn't like change. You are wrong. I mentioned overheating and other features. The minigun is VERY vulnerable. If your out in the open with it you have NO way to move. At all. all they have to do is flank your point of view, and attack from behind. The minigun is USELESS without backup, as the amount you have to get close to ruins the "go out and hide while firring" idea. And the "spray and pray" dosnt matter, because unless they can heat shot you EVERY time. There fucked.

    I kind of like the idea of only one gun, lets go with that. Teamwork is required in a TEAM BATTLE game. Herp derp. To many guns dosn't matter if there all useless alone. Thats why there is a solider class. Also I forgot to UNDERPOWER the ak-74. It should be more like:

    I also agree with bubbo, and again, ANYONE can use these guns, so believe it or not, YOUR ON THE SAME FOOTING. Have a team full of rocketters coming at you? get with your team and do the same thing! This will force people to work with there TEAM

    Razor, believe it or not TheGrandmaster does actually think about his posts, and from what I can see he's been polite in his responses. Please, don't accuse people of being trolls without any reason other than "they don't agree with me." His opinions are perfectly justified from his point of view, and you'd do well to keep in mind that from his point of view, you're the one who's got things all wrong. He's not saying what he's saying because he wants to offend you, he's actually genuinely concerned that the game won't be any fun if your ideas are implemented.

    4 or 5 simple weapons seems like it would fit the gameplay more. No OP weapons.
    If a RPG was ever added it should be 1 time use, and not available at tents.

    In terms of guns I think we should keep it simple other wise the game gets too complicated and unbalanced

    Shotgun
    Pros: Maximum range would be about 3 quaters of the current rifles range
    Damage would be very low from a distance and one hit kill up close
    From a long distance the shotgun could destroy a block with 2 shots but close up can destory a block with one hit
    Cons: extreme recoil low rate of fire high reload times and only three shots before reload

    Uzi
    Pros: extremely High rate of fire and 30 bullets before a fairly quick reload
    Cons: ALOT of recoil and cannot destroy blocks

    Rifle
    Basically the same gun weve got now but with longer distance slightly higher rate of fire and a lil less recoil

    I also think we should have capturable spawn points as it would make it much easier to win on maps like pinpoint which almost always start and end with neither side being able to push and capture the intel

    @TheGrandmaster.

    I don't think and automatic rifle is really the best idea, and the pistols really dont seem to fit the spirit of the game (Akimbo-pistols, Really?).

    the shotgun could be fun though.

    (privately I see pistols as kinda useless, sidearms are only for officers, and unless there is a ranking system added [which I'm also against]. I would see them as too CAWADOOTY-ish)
