I can't be the only one irritated by clan threads clogging up the general gameplay forum.
Maybe it's a minor issue, but it bothers me that I have to push through loads of 'XTREEM ELITE RECRUITING' threads to get to something worth posting on

er no we don't. Were not irritated by the actual thread, we just don't like the general idea of clans. There like depending on other people.

or maybe we could I guess... some people like clans others don't, as a community we've just got to roll along with it.

Agreed. Or just ban that content from the boards entirely until we actually have a registration and clan system (Hopefully we do not get the latter)

And while on the topic of not seeing things you don't want to see, allow a filter for the main page, so you can filter out threads by topic.

What I'd really like to see is a registration system with publicly viewable account statistics. I'd love to be able to show off numbers like total kills, total deaths (not counting suicides, preferably), longest shot, longest killstreak, etc. If we included a clan-joining feature for the accounts, I wouldn't mind all that much... those of us who are still convinced that clans are silly would merely have to not use the feature. Provided there's no real incentives to joining a clan (other than to display to others how much you like CoD, if that can really be called an "incentive") I don't see it becoming a huge problem.

Good point, and plus, server owners would be able to specify if anyone from a clan is allowed to play on their server, so it'd be like self-administered chemo.

Minus the hair loss. That could be great.
