Ok, first off NO I don't have cheat engine, this is my first time trying to play the game at all. I keep getting this error whenever trying to connect to a server:

initdirectdraw failed: 0x80004001

I have no idea what that means and I'm hoping someone can help me fix this.

If someone still gets it, try different browsers and close all other browsers when you try it. Try firefox, explorer, chrome and opera and if none of them works, download AoS lite browser-

Did you folks try changing the resolution in the config.ini? If you did try changing it back to the default resolutions of 1024 x 768.

Change the resolution to 800 400

First, restart your PC.

If that doesn't sort it, go to -> Run -> "dxdiag".
Then once that's loaded, go to the 'Display '(1 or 2, doesn't matter), and do the DirectX tests and see if it returns any errors anywhere.

If it does, reinstall the latest directx and try again.
