    Hello, i was just suggesting the addition of a knife, for stabbing people at close range and a good back-up weapon. Also i want to see the addition of secondary weapons, such as a pistol that does weak damage and has a 12 round clip, and maybe a Magnum that has 6 rounds but does more damage than the pistol. I think this could really improve the game.

    For the knife idea, I don't think that should be included. Either use a grenade or headshot em. For kicks, at the most, you should be able to kill someone with a shovel and when you kill them with the shovel, it says in red letter (Player1) shoveled (Player2) to embarrass (Player2). That would be nice.

    For the secondary weapons, if they get added then only one secondary gun should be added. Two would be too much, and would start feeling a little like XBox or PS3 FPS's. However, the secondary weapon should have little ammo and do little damage, such as 5 - 10 for a 2 second backup/to hold the enemy while you're reloading. Maybe it should do 10 damage to joints, 20 to body, and 40 to head.

    Agree with my compromise?

    I do. But I feel that a sidearm is definitely a good idea to implement. Even moreso a melee weapon. Even if it's only the shovel. Or rather how's this idea: A trade off, bowie knife, or a shovel? Either faster digging, or ability to take down people at close range. The knife should be fairly balanced, maybe 1-3 slashes, depending on where the attack lands.
    Ideally a knife would be suicide against an armed opponent, but should you sneak up on someone, a blade to the neck should be fair and lethal.

    That being said, a pistol would help greatly when the player depletes their ammo for primary and needs some punch to survive their way back to the resupply tent. It's a cute idea to be able to choose between a autoloader or a wheelgun, with respective traits of damage or capacity. But they should be exactly that. A gun with limited ammunition to get you home, not by any means a fighting gun.

    But that's just my two cents.

    If a pistol is added it should be well balanced. This means recoil and low damage.

    Also I like the shoveled thing, that sounds funny.

    i like ace-spades like it is but it will be beter if there will be a 9mm pistol and knife or machete in knife plase

    my idea for a secondary weapon would be either a pistol like an M9 or a Trench gun, the Trench gun would obviously be heavier and make the character move slower they would have the ability to choose between the secondary, of course.
    (a Trench gun is like a shotgun)
    as for the melee weapon i dont know it should be the pickaxe since the shovel doesnt really have the animation for a fighting weapon

    Uhhh, I think Space101 is refering to an earlier discussion where we decided that it would be best for shotguns to use 12 gauge rounds instead of buckshot a la CoD.

    A shotgun would be a little useless. In close range you might get off a shot or two, but unless it is overpowered it wouldn't do that much. And to even have it added you would have to balance it, and then it becomes a slow firing hunk of metal that just takes up space.
    Do a pistol if anything.

    i think a shotgun would only be useful if there was one block wide corridor or trench and the enemy was going around a corner with a knife or pistol. So the shotgun is pretty useless ._.

    I support the pistol idea as a secondary couse right now killing someone who is 5 blocks away from you with an SMG is almost impossible. Make it a bit more powerfull then the SMG with higher acuracy (thats what hapends when you learn english in a non english speaking country - YOU BECOME AWSOME) but with a piss amount of ammo (about 12 bullets for a 9mm or 6 for a desert eagle and so on)
    Knife is not such a bad idea becouse the seconde your gun is out of ammo you are prety much fucked so 2 stubs for death and maby a nut stub wich will replace the headshot.
