    I was thinking of two opposite scenarios, and yeah.

    1. You're in a fire fight, and shit's intense. So intense that you piss yourself. Next thing you know, a sniper fires at you, and just barely misses your head, and plants a nice one in your chest, or boob, or whatever. You look at your health. 38, and slowly... Dropping? What?

    Face it, you're almost dead. This is war, soldiers bleed out all the time.

    2. You're running towards the front lines, and you see enemies. You sight in with the rifle, take aim, fi-- Fall into a hole. You lose a quarter of your health, but... It's slowly rising. I guess minor injuries aren't permanent. You decide to wait till you're back 100%, and climb out.

    Just saiyan, minor shit should be able to heal over time.

    This way, soldiers can still make a stand without having to run back to the tent for health.

    If none of you agree, then we should have our soldiers equipped with basic medical supplies, to both heal yourself and others-- Once per life.

    Say you and your buddy are the only ones fighting at the front line, and he gets pegged hard. You look at him, and (just another idea, our soldiers' heath statuses should be displayed below their names) see that he's bleeding out, say, at 23%. You decide to heal him. Since soldiers can't carry tents with them, you only heal a fraction of health... 25%? Meh. Anyway, you heal him, and he's above percentage for healing, and he begins the healing process.

    Backup then arrives.

    tl;dr: Once health dips below a certain percentage, you begin to bleed out. If it's above a certain percentage, it slowly regenerates. OR Soldiers carry basic medical supplies, being able to either heal themselves or others once per life.

    Not really a totally rotten idea, but it would need some careful handling.

    Suppose, for example, that you come up against an SMG-user, who pins you back behind a corner after hitting your torso once. You've only lost 24 health, so you'd start healing. Theoretically you could cover and heal up, then come out again and retry, knowing what to expect this time. If you have a rifle, which deals more damage at once, you're going to kill him, and kill him badly.

    So while I'm not totally against this, I'm more than a bit wary.

    I do agree with you on this, as there are a lot of people that would attempt to do this.

    However, I didn't intend for the healing to be in a Call of Duty-esqe style-- Moderately fast. I was thinking along the lines of a slow, Runescape or RoTMD style healing.

    With the scenario you mentioned, I could've engaged in combat with an SMG user, lost a chunk of health, and took shelter in a nearby tunnel or cave. Since I'm healing slowly, say at a rate of 1 hp per second, I would have to keep myself away from enemy fire for at least half a minute to get back to full strength. But no right minded soldier would think of letting an enemy run-- I'd get chased. My chances of surviving are hindered, and most people don't live long after being spotted.

    Yet, this can pose a problem with people sniping from the mountains in Hallway or anywhere, but since they heal slowly, or bleed out, people can either go on the offensive while the sniper heals or take defensive action and set up bunkers. It used to be "I have 8hp left, but fuck it anyway, I'll still fire" but now it would be "I should rest and heal before popping out again".

    I Think this could be implemented, though I am in the same boat as1337101: it would need some careful handling and I would be wary of the effects of it.

    @Spengbab: In my experience, the person who comes around a corner frequently loses, particularly with rifles.

    You'd just need to retreat to heal and aim your rifle at the corner at crouched head-height. People almost always crouch around corners (no idea why, I prefer just leaping out and getting some surprise on my side), so when your pursuer comes after you, you pop him in the head.

    I've done things like this many times (without healing, obviously) and it hasn't failed me yet. The other guy gets impatient, comes around the corner, and gets brutally slain.

    You have a point there. I can see how this can be abused, so I think I'll just scrap the regen but keep the degen and medical supplies, but have them with the properties of being able to heal over time, 25hp at a rate of 2 per second.

    This way healing is limited to once per life, but not instant, so that you still have to take cover, and not go into DOOM mode, taking back a quarter of health and then running out, guns blazing. Even if you can popshot enemies who come around the corner, you can't do it forever, due to limited use of healing (I sure repeat a lot).

    I like the idea... but also I think we should make this different from other games like CS or CoD! I know also that everyone wants a zombie mode... good idea just not the right idea for the game. We should focus more on zeplins instead of helicopters and different stuff like that. Btw please stop whineing over how "the sights are off 3 pixels" or "this game is too laggy" this game is in BETA! I know there is a lot of bugs that need to be reported but if you see another thread reporting the bug that you found, please do not make another thread reporting the same bug. Sorry but I just wanted to tell everyone that this game is in beta. :)

    instead of

    "Shit, I'm bleeding otu, I gotta sneak back to the base tent and heal."

    You may as well put red jelly on the screen when you get hit.

    I personally would like the ability to choose a medical kit or an ammo pack with the "." key. You would press ".", choose your weapon, then choose either an ammo pack or the medical pack. Both of them are blocks that you place before they can be used. You only get one and you must die (just as if you were picking a weapon) before you can choose another.

    OR

    Neither of the two are "blocks", but holdable items that you must have in your hand for you to be able to use it on other players. As previously stated, you only get one at a time and you must die in order to choose another.

    Regen is stupid. If you get shot IRL, you're going to die slowly. If you get shot in this game, you should lose 1hp/sec.

    Medical supplies would be nice (someone to heal others). Other then that, NOPE. Also, I didn't even read anything, only the thread title.

    And I already agreed that regen is retarded and that medical supplies heal over time, not instantly.
