As many of you have probably noticed, there has been a sudden shift with the administration team. This in turn has lead to the drafting of a couple new recruits to the moderation team to help keep things under control.

The two newest additions to the moderation team are izzy and TheGrandmaster. We gladly welcome them to the team and anticipate the positive impact they will surely have on the community.

In addition to the new moderators, moderation will be a lot tighter in order to help keep the community in line and more appealing to the users, rather than turning them away. We ask that you, the users, help do your part in keeping the forum clean and in order.

The whole team is in tight communication with each other and will do the best to ensure the community is kept in order and provides the best experience for both new and old users.

For his sake, and his sanity's, I would surely hope not.

bcoolface doesnt do much moderating, almost none to be exact. But he can if he wants too and it doesnt hurt to let everyone know that.

administrator has a few more editing privileges than than moderator. I wouldnt worry to much about rank.

As the community grows, we most definitely will recruit more.

mod -> admin -> bcoolface

mods and admins are pretty much equal. Like a said admins have a little more editing privileges though.

In the future there could be more structure and more custom roles created as well

How exactly do you become a Moderator? I would be interested in becoming one.

The current moderators were chosen through discussion between the two admins, danhezee and StackOverflow. It wasn't a case of 'applying' at all..
We've already had side discussion, and I imagine in the future we'll have more, about different people in the community, how they act, and whether they would be suitable. So far the current team is only a week on the job, so I'd imagine we'd wait a bit before we start doing the wider discussion about who we feel might be suitable for such a position.
I haven't talked to either admin before posting this, but I'd imagine the selection process would be similar again - so we'd pick from those we see as being fit for the job.
