We need to do something about this game, and it kind of need to be done soon. A few days ago a youtuber under the screen name of cocosmackdown gave this game a bad review, and most of his facts were dead wrong. I was pretty sure he didn't even now how to play the game. So I sent him a message on youtube about the game and how I believe he wrongly showed it. He then sent back a fairly bitter and immature message, but a message all the same. Inside he wrote that he had played the game for an hour (not long enough to make a full review of a game, but he thought otherwise) and that the gun were all inaccurate and the gameplay boring. So I messaged him back saying that he should maybe go after the intel and then it would be more fun. He then wrote back that no one else seemed to care about the intel, so he didn't go after it. I could plainly see that since the intel wasn't too important he simply saw a block team death match.
I have a solution on how to fix this problem and to bring in some of the other ideas people on the forum have. If we add a reward system to the intel capturing then it will become a more important target. How I suggest going about this is to have a system like this:
Cap an intel, your reward pops out. You get a sniper that can see through more fog and/or has no cone of fire, or you get a an airstrike, or riot shield, etc. This will make the gameplay more intense and will give people a chance to add their ideas to the game.
Post below what you think of this. Help cure this problem of internet retards hating on our game.

I agree with OP in that we need rewards for capturing intel. Sure, you bring your team closer to winning the round, but come the next match everything starts over again and all your efforts will have been for naught. If we ever get registration, then perhaps Ben can focus on adding more permanent rewards that provide a real incentive to capture intel. Maybe other players will be able to see access your stats and go, "Well golly gee willikers, this person has both a high capture and kill rate. S/he must be a valuable player that I would love to have on my team."

Also, Drew, I can see where the second paragraph of your first post begins, but to make it easier for others, you could just skip an extra line like I did above. Makes it easier on the eyes.

And to carry on the topic the focus is more on the idea to add a reward system to the game. The whole hater thing was to enforce more importance on the system.

Meh, ideas for capping intel, or perhaps using points? After all, intel gives you points too. I think using points for things (I.E mortar strike) would be helpful and increase the amount of points intel gives you.

When you cap the intel, you get a whopping 10 points, and everyone on your team can see the enemy for a minute, plus a message letting everyone on both teams know just who it was that snuck in, made the grab, got out alive, and pulled off the capture.

Isn't that reward enough?

@Drewgon: Given your description of the person giving AoS a bad review, I couldn't care less what they thought.

I don't like the idea of ingame perks, because then a pro gets the aid of even better weapons, making him even harder to kill... we've all had to play against the guy who absolutely could not be stopped from getting intel and running it time after time after time. Now, imagine that he's suddenly better equipped than you are. That could get reall quite awful very quickly.

I actually really love the existing lack of in-game perks in AoS. The only thing you get out of playing a lot is experience which will help you down the road. It encourages people to become good players, not lame players with good gear.

If his opinion really mattered, then what we should have done is made a server with some actual decent players, and invited him to play.

But I've been to his server before, and he's honestly a dickbag. Most everyone else just goes "OMG COCO!" and follow him around and shit, which gave me plenty of time to renovate all of the monuments to the asshole that his buttbuddy fans left lying around the field.

Fun fact: after I teamkilled him a few times, he was determined that I was a hacker.

I think that I your getting a award for caping the intel, it should be something that benifets the whole team, not just yourself because I can tell you how many times I get the intel, bring it over to our base just to get killed and some other person gets it, walks a few steps, caps it, and gets all of the fame. So the award should be team based. :p

Drewgon my friend, I believe you don't understand the nature of a community. Right now, I think you all agree with me on this, every server you play in is full to the brimm with all kind of retards, asshats, and o' course griefers. This is mainly cause the game is free, and all over the interbutts 13-year olds whose parents don't love and with a love for naruto, my little pony or any other anime spawn go swarming over to Ace of Spades not having an idea of how to shot /airstrike even.
A bad review in youtube is not enough: we'd need thousands to minimize the migration of faggots while the ones already there get bored. This game doesn't need publicity in youtube, it's already a great idea of a game, and those who appreciate it will find it eventualy
