Ill go first, when i first began playing the game i played green team because they blended best with the environment. That was until i realized the green team was a bunch of idiots and spent all their time building useless forts instead of doing work.
At this point i joined the blue team and haven't looked back, were the real workhorse here. Oh and they also blend a little better with the newer custom maps.

i join the losing team and and play untill it's the winning team then i switch and repeat

Generally I look at which team has fewer players, and join them. Even if there's 10 on one team and none on the other, I'll join the no-players side. At least that way I'm guaranteed a lot of action.

If teams are closely balanced I'll then look at the scores, and join the losing team to give them a boost. The best victories are always against the odds.

I never thought of it that way, more people to shoot. I can hold my own. I might aswell do that next time

The team with fewer players, I get more people to shoot at and it is fair for the lower populated team to have that extra player.

Blue team. When I started playing I liked green because of the awesome defenses they tended to build. Then I tried going on blue, and found that I preferred their offensive style. Then time passed and green turned into a bunch of dickheads, so whenever I tried to go on green I ended up swearing to myself, "never again"

I'm pretty much a complete mercenary. I'll join the smaller and/or losing team to help keep things balanced. Sometimes I'll change to the larger/winning team when it becomes apparent that the smaller/losing team is smaller/losing because everyone on the team is a troll or griefer (usually the team o' grief is green, apparently four out of five griefers prefer the color green).

Ill admit that the defenses were pretty cool, but often didnt give them much of an advantage. In this game, huge buildings provide little of anything. The REAL important buildings are small obscure bunkers hidden into the terrain where you wont know where the fires coming from. Better yet, a system of tunnels with holes to shoot from so i can pop up, kill, switch. Rinse Wash Repeat

i join the team with the least amount of people so its fairer...

in pre 0.44 times i used to play blue
because sniping is what im good at and building tunnels were a favorite thing of mine
now custom maps have 1 layer and almost no tunnels can be built
though i still play blue and make huge Green Fags! walls. (i did this and it got griefed by a green who switched to blue for that alone )
i used to have monsterscores before 0.54 at hallway and pinpoint (16 kill streak by sea sniping hurr hurr)

@Fleek: You were spawncamping on Hallway and only got 16 kills?

My record is 35, and I ended it because I was bored and quit (not getting shot even once for 35 kills is actually really quite boring). I can't say I've spawncamped since then... that particular streak was more a test of the map.

No, it was on pinpoint and i was sniping slightly away from the spawn point
and i was sniping that far away i couldn't even recognize their colors

Whichever team has less players (unless one of the teams has certain people whom I don't like).

To the both of you, not meaning to brag and i dont know the exact numbers. But spawncamping in my tunnels on hallway i must have gotten around 50 kills in a single life before, all headshots :3

I want the old maps back!! I want to be able to build tunnels again. The only one these days thats good for it, is hallway because of the massive chunks but i want maps with huge mountains, cliffs, and ground thats atleast 10 blocks deep.

@OxyMoron: I don't find that surprising. I might have gotten to 50 myself if I hadn't sucumbed to boredom, but now we'll never know. Any good player should be able to break 30 on Hallway or Pinpoint if they don't mind using a bunch of cheap tricks to get there.

I join the team with less players. More opponents = more heads to perforate. :P

well sometimes i join Green.

The koolest team. Any team that has either kool people or the team who has the least stupid/trolling/griefers.

That's not related.

I general choose blues, simply because I find greens to have a higher average of builders.
That said, if the teams are unbalanced I'm generally the one to swap/choose the lesser team.

I am fine with any team, usually I join the losing or less populated team. If there are too many griefers on that team..then byebye. I try to stay away from griefers if I can't do anything about them.

Blue, first off in gen maps there offense, second blue always has a problem so you can never just sit down and watch the intel cap like on green, and, for some reason, the douch bag to nice guy ratio is higher on green :P

i play the [HK] team, well....not strictly true, i join the map and say "okay every [HK] on blu...thats an order dammit!".....so...blu i guess...
