I am not completely sure about this but does AoS have bullet time? Bullet time is the delay from the shot and the hit, depending on distance. Because there is such a near fog distance, it is extremely hard for me to tell. Or is it that the server side hit detection just really slow. However, is the hit determined by the tracer round collision with the Player Head/Torso/Leg KV6 file? Because obviously the tracer takes time to get from point A to B. 3 blocks are around 2M, so 1500 blocks from point A to B should be around 3-4 seconds. |

Nope, shit's instant. Tracer isn't. |

If it isn't instant, something is lagging. The tracer does its own stuff. |

It's not a projectile, its a hit scan. |

I know that. In python language it is a ray sensor. However when I made my FPS game, I used a dynamic bullet mesh and collision registers as a hit. Because it is dynamic, the bullet drops over distance and such. |

I found I had to lead shots even with the old client-side hit detection. Not sure if that's still from lag, but it seemed to be the same amount of lead regardless of ping. |

The "lag" was the time it took for your brain to send a signal to your right index finger to then click the mouse, and then the time it took for the pressure your index finger gave to the left mouse button to register as a click, to then tell the gun your character was holding to fire. |

@Kaede: Most likely, although I've made a few shots where I saw the tracer pass in front of the person's face and they still get killed. It's possible that that's just because the tracer and the actual "beam of death" are seperate. |
