So I have NEVER played Minecraftian SMP (bought the game though), but some random AoS guy told me a while ago that SDK's guns onna SMP server make a lot more fun than AoS.

I see the mod is outdated. Current Minecraft version is 1.7.3.

When you consider Minecraft is a lot bigger thing than AoS, and there is mod for everything, it makes you wonder if it really is better FPS action.

And by "mod for everything" I mean seriously everything. Only SDK's mod has very good FPS feel to it with weapon/ammo spawners and even ability to make world indestructable.

There are even mods for vehicles. Tanks, planes and blimps. And my favorite Zeppelin mod that caused a little revolution with ability to make vehicles out of blocks.

So I ask you: What do you think? Have you ever been on said dangerous modded SMP server? Any flaws like bad hit detection?

Minecraft is an intense resource hog. I think I speak for pretty much everyone when I say if we had better computers, we wouldn't be playing this game.

Well Minecraft does have a huge head start and a much bigger community with modding resources. AoS has just one guy. So I'd have to say yes, it is getting outpaced. Minecraft is getting on towards completion but with AoS it's nowhere in sight.

I'd like to look up some youtube footage of the mods you describe but I'm not sure what to search for. Little help?

I have the SDK weapons mod for Minecraft and it is pretty sweet. Being able to set up sniper sentry guns that shoot creepers from a mile away is priceless. Then again, that is not a mod that is made by the developers of Minecraft, it is made by the community. I'd like to see some actual mods for AoS (not just skins and stuff, actual modifications), but I don't know what is needed in order to do that.

psyspades did some stuff that was more then skins but the last update killed off airstrikes and as a result the streak bonus. wed probably see more mods if the game was open source.

The difference is that AoS is actually fun to play with other people.
