Every single server! All they do is sit there and score headshots! No one uses the SMG at all! The SMG cant do anything, because you'll just get shot in the face with a rifle AT CLOSE RANGE!

I doubt that... I've encountered and been killed by all 3 firearms, the pickaxe and the grenade.

What's wrong with the rifle?

I use the smg like a lmg use it to surpress enemies and i get quite a few kill in doing so.

I like to use other guns, but you need to think about the flat factor. On a flat plane, the semi will dominate other guns. If you add walls and other things in your way, the smg's block breaking power and the shotguns power dominate the semi. So here is your problem, as a game goes on more people break things (Griefers, the enemy, random grenades, etc.) than people are willing to build. So as this happens the battle field becomes much more flat. This then makes the semi more powerful in the long run. In order to counter the semi, build stuff.

I can't use the SMG that well at all, I've been using the semi since it was the only gun, I'm used to it & I love it. The Shotgun is awesome, but I've barely used 'cause I haven't played that much lately. Too busy creating a custom pack.

I normally use the rifle if I want to rack up a lot of kills. Xerv, I guess the reason why a lot of people use the rifle is because it works pretty well.

I do use SMG sometimes, especially when I'm bored with the rifle. You'd be surprised how easy it is to rack up headshots with a SMG (especially when using Dot sights.)

WOW, WOW, WOW... You can kill people with pickaxes?!?!?!?!

I normally use the rifle because I have been using it for five months, before the SMG, before custom iron sights and before you could just jump out of the water. That's why I'm so fucking accurate with it.

It's basically the only weapon worth using once you learn to aim. I don't see the problem with it; get better and learn to counter the riflemen if it pisses you off that bad.
Sure, the others have their strong points, but like I said, when you get good at aiming, there's little point in using them.

@Hanz: I use the SMG when I feel like using something else. It's surprising how many headshots you can nail with a SMG if you learn how to use it. ;D

I think that the shotgun is used mostly when your frontline is so far back that you need the power to push back.

Stop whining and get over it. The semi was the first gun ever in AoS.

People use the rifle because on most maps with a good posistion, you can snipe everyone and it's good for anything long ranged as the smg and shotty have there limits.

in a game where its this easy to one hit, an SMG is going to be outclassed in just about every situation, i honestly only see it being good at picking at people through walls.

well.... the rifle dominates with all categories. It's the only weapon with one hit headshot kills from my experience. not even the shotgun has this.

They're all well balanced, I see all of the tree weapons regularly used.

Sure, rifle has most killing power but that's quite only because many fight alone, and you can just pick them.

Either way, learn to kill or to encounter riflemen. You don't need to run straight into their sights.

@bcoolface: Please don't focus on weapons in the next few builds, they're good now, instead add and hone game features.
