  • Some suggestions I wanted to get out of my head.

    Hopefully I'll get time to think about it but for now these are ideas I just WANT OUT OF MY FREAKIN' HEAD. So please understand me and be respectable because I haven't thought them out much yet.

    Two things I want in the future:

    1. The Reticule to be 10-20 pixels lower for more competitiveness. I'll need to think of more reasons to see how it would work. It's used often in Halo.

    2. The target.png to change red whenever it's over and enemy that is within range. This could help heighten the chance of somebody hitting at close range because you think you can hit them more likely. (Mind over matter)

    uhh i dont get one

    as for two, will it turn red when the dot can hit them, or when they get inside the circle?

    The aiming reticule is just lower than normal, and the aiming reticule turns red when they get in the circle.

    Um, it's not "lower than normal", what are you talking about? You want to reticle to be off-centred? How will this make the game "more competitive"? Also a reticule is a womans hand bag.

    Well, I'm used to calling it reticule. Now I'll just call it 'target', and there's some underlying mechanics for lowering the target where it currently is.

    I do not see the point, really. I think lowering where the cross hair would just be an annoyance for all of the people that have played this game for so long, then have to adapt to something weird, with no real benefits or anything. the second idea sounds alright, it might help let you know when you're looking at the enemy, but I dont think it's really needed.

    Well, I never said the ideas were important, I just wanted to see what other people thought.

    3. Be able to pick up fallen ammo from enemies. Need I say more?

    it is alright, do not worry.

    I think the second idea is good, but I also think that it might have some errors, like being able to see through walls, if you know what I mean. I am thinking this, because, there is already something like that, but it shows your team mates' names, even through blocks(at least I think it does), so it might have some errors

    @Spaz: A good suggestion would be to allow players to move their crosshairs in an options menu, if they have their own troubles co-ordinating their shots ;)

    Full support on the halo-like reticule, though: Headshots have dot activate and go red, anywhere else reticule turns red without dot.

    IT would be nice if there was a slight bullet drop effect as well as the un-centered cross hairs. I love your idea of the reticule Spaz!
