Well, I'm thinking of starting a hosting company for AoS servers. I can host 1-2 at a time for $5 a month. If you think this is too steep, or want me to drop the idea because it involves money, let me know, I care for opinions. :)

the idea is good, right now though, you should start cheaper, and id also recomend linking your speed test results

Best advertisement is to run a server and show what kind of connection you can provide. AoS is a small-pop game still, but if your service is at all decent, you'll find some customers and maybe can grow as the playerbase does.

i would suggest being able to host more then 1 or 2 servers at a time before trying to advertise :P just saying

i say 1 dollar a month tops unless this games gets like mine craft then five

i will host someones for a SMALL fee 1 for 5 hours a day 24/7 will be 3 dollars monthly anyone interested?
Edit: hahaha screw that ill host it for free! just give me a 'playlist' of maps you want me to host and the name of the server and ill jump right on it! if this become popular however i may start charging.....anyone have any server they want me to host?

@Evilgenius, I am pretty sure Jackster is a server reseller, so no his company isnt number one in the game server industry. However in all honesty, since so many people are having troubles setting up the servers, a site like his might do quite well

I'd appriciate if you guys stopped advertising in my thread. :)
I rather not share my speed, as it discourages people from buying, but I can run 32 player servers with no lag.

I have PowerCrunch Mars Battlezone open, if anyone wants to test the speed.

@danhezee how could anyone have a problem settings up a server? this is easier than googleing "ace of spades" lol

@evilgenius many people are dumb, or they cant port forward, or there cpu wont let them host AoS, theres many reasons somebody might not be able to host
edit:also some peaople may not want to deal with the lag, like as im writing this im getting host lag from my server which is driving me crazy
