My dad doesn't usually interfere with my opinions, which is good for me. I originally didn't support the marriage of gays until I found out that my best friend for 3 years had 2 married mothers. I visited his house and met his mothers who were so polite, kind, and normal that I even forgot they were gay until I was leaving. Gay marriage should be allowed in every state. There is nothing wrong with it. This is called America, the land of the free. |

http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRyQWzomHdLu-N6OpVzv5Yw2l6Y-jHmEsZxLuoxOjCUGY9J1M8wEQ&t=1 I don't have an issue with gay as a whole, It's your choice, BUT, I dislike campaigners who push it in your face, they're on par with Bible Bashers and pushers. The people I posted is what I hate about religion. I'm from the UK, But some extreme dickheads who believe god is almighty, And that god only loves the 30 or so that goes to their church, And that gay's caused 9-11. No. They're gay because they want to be, And 'God' doesn't have a say. |

@Tocksman: I believe that's called a Civil Marriage. I know that 'cuz my parents had one just before I was born. (Since my dad was leaving for the US to work and they didn't have enough time) They got a real Church wedding when I was 12 - 14 years old though. 'Twas an awesome day. O v O d P.S. @Voodoo and Tocks: Think of the story/ parable where Jesus saved a harlot who was about to be stoned, saying: "Let he who hath no sin cast the first stone." |

@Voodoo: Those are rednecks you've encountered, not Christians. There's a lot of them down there in the south. @JosephAllen129: I have no issue with gay people. In fact, I've met a few nice same-sex couples. They were extremely kind and generous. I am very against the idea that people should be treated differently because of their sexual orientation. They shouldn't be picked on. And even though the idea of a same-sex wedding is just something that's I simply do not agree with, I'm not going to go to someone's wedding and protest like some radical groups do. I'm still going to be happy for the couple even though it's something I do not fully understand yet. Let's not forget that Jesus also told the woman to leave her life of sin as well once all those who wished to stone her had left. |

Well, why gays would even want to go marriage? It's a bit like 'yah were so cool were gay couple and nao errbody knows it'. They have in most countries rights to register their relationship and get the stuff from it. Ain't that enough? Homosexuality is disallowed by the words of bible, it's a sin, and as this is so, let's say that the gays will not get to the heaven. It's their punishment. But mocking, discriminationing or violating the homosexuals, just because they're homosexuals should always be illegal, punished and racism-tagged. They still are and remain humans, how hard they ever pwned dat ass. I have nothing against people who want to fuck their their own gender. I think that the politics have something more important to worry about. Oh and I'm fine with my dad, he just tends to be sometimes too responsive. |

I'm a very liberal Christian, and frankly, I don't care about same sex marriage. People deserve to be happy regardless of their sexual orientation. It's not my business to interfere with their life. (If I even wanted to.) |

@VFB1210: Took the words right outta my mouth bro. @Tocks: Yep, and thanks for clarifying the story. :P @Demi: Their life, their choices. I don't want any part of it. :/ |

The relationship with my parents is pretty good actually. I tend to have very radical views and I am highly critical of the current political situation and system. That said, I am an anarchist(although not your typical one), a corporatist(again, not your usual one) and a firm believer in nationalism(and yes, again, not your archetypical one). I frequently get into discussions with other people, including my parents; I stay civilised and provide arguments. |
