@Xanatos: Nah, keep in mind that the players are wearing helmets and the SMGs use pistol cartridges. I think the game could be a bit more fun if damage was slightly randomized and there were more distinguished hitzones (such as faces that can always be one-shotted, but helmets that might rarely even deny the rifle a one-hit kill). That's definitely a feature for the distant future of AoS development, though. |

I think the game could be a bit more fun if damage was slightly randomized and there were more distinguished hitzones (such as faces that can always be one-shotted, but helmets that might rarely even deny the rifle a one-hit kill). That's definitely a feature for the distant future of AoS development, though. I like where that's going- I'd much rather settle for heads being smaller, for example, than the rifle having inacurracy. |

increase friendly fire damage to kill griefers or some thing like that they so fucking annoying or make like a griefer gun that tell when a team mate is destroying your blocks and allows you to kill/kick them |

@Strangefire: Not needed. You can insta-kill griefers with headshots using a Rifle. |

@ Beret/Marksmanship Funnily enough, I actually suggested months ago on the RPS forums that headshots should be taken out. Since then Ive come up with this idea: Make headshots not instant kill (Helmet). Make a heart/body shot do 100 damage. This way fortifications give an advantage, and give a player a chance to retreat to a static health dispenser if they were ever implemented. Ive been thinking about this all week, and this is a perfect opportunity to put it out there. Ill make a new thread for this one. |

@Pink: If I recall correctly, helmets (even modern ones) aren't made to protect against direct shots. They can only deflect stray shots and shrapnel as far as I can recall. |

But I was never against headshots- in fact during intel runs I depend on headshots being instant kill to get me out of there alive. I would hate to see that go. Also like Joseph said, helmets only really serve to deflect glancing shots and shrapnel anyway. All I'm saying is that smaller, harder to hit heads are much better than random inaccuracy on the rifle- that way it remains up to player skill. If you hit your target it's because YOU lined it up right. If you miss it's because YOU messed up, rather than your rifle's accuracy failing you. |

To all those saying that the rifle should go back to being 100% accurate - you're wrong. It's not really for realism, it's to make the rifle a bit more balanced. Personally, I am fine with it, it's not that much of a variation. What I want to see is an accuracy increase for all guns if you stop and crouch. It will keep the ability to pop headshots on the fly as you run with the intel, but will also mean you can get the distant shots for when you are scoping out a base. Also, killstreak rewards are just silly. How about player-controlled versions of them, such as mortars :) |

There's many things that could be added and it's still in Beta meaning much stuff is still to be added. I think the addition of a pistol or knife would be cool and as someone said before ammo packs and health packs. I don't think ammo packs are a good idea but the choice between a pistol and a health kit I think would be good. Ammo should be obtainable from dead bodies but you can only pick up ammo from the same type of gun. Also, I think a knife is needed or possible make the pickaxe and/or spade deal damage. |

They can add whatever they want. All I want is a wider selection of guns. Also a secondary weapon. Like a auto-shotgun for the smg and a colt 45 for the Gerand. |

shotgun is coming out, and you could just reskin those if you want. Im not sure AoS is a game meant for secondaries. |

@Dr.Pepper: It's actually a Gewehr if you go by appearances. It doesn't look at all like a Garand, aside from the slight resmeblance that nearly all infantry rifles of the time had. Secondary weapons are pretty meh... AoS is fun because it's simple, we don't need to make things horribly complex. My concern with the confirmed addition of a shotgun is that judging from the brief video I've seen, it's actually really powerful at mid-range, rather than close range. The choke should probably be set a bit wider. The way it is in the video (under news), Ben was able to one-shot someone at what looked to be halfway to fog. What really has me curious is the orange fog... what's up with that? |
