nice way to spell a 6 letter name. you have no clue if you think we can even be remotely close to mass space colonization within the next 200 years. in addition NASA has only been around for about 58 years, Mass religion could in no way have tampered with it in such a way to set us back 200 years or more in that time. I also love how you forget (or choose to ignore) at the discoverys that religious scientists have made. I haven't said it can only be bad, it can be good if it isn't about forcing people, scaring, protesting against rightfully good events/objectives, rape, murder, the putdown of other religions/countries or human rights.

If you had any sense of what we were just talking about I'm applying what I said to any religion that applies to the above.

Christianity is all of those I listed as an example.

And if religion hadn't existed, it wouldn't have put galileo in jail, or putdown some massive theories of the universe. IF religion would have been traded out for reason when it was starting to, then we would have been 200 years ahead how we are now.

Take a look, read a book, READING RAI- Anyways to the point, look at all the times religion has put people to death, to jail, to slavery, to other horrible things apply to the torture/death of people who attempted to prove religion wrong or prove a massive theory. Wasn't their massive protests and good amounts of death or maybe a war to what Copernicus proved? I have to brush up on my 1400s history. @Tehpwnzer: Seriously, chill out. I didn't make that cross to offend anyone, I made it because I thought it would be a fun challenge. You've taken that and blown it way out of proportion, turning what could have been a brief, half-dozen post topic into a huge issue.

Has it ever occured to you that all the fuss you're making has actually created MORE publicity for the cross? MegaDeuce has already expressed interest in visiting the server (admittedly to see a different structure) when I doubt that he would have even noticed the topic if it had been allowed to die like most "look what I built!" posts do.

So yeah, I suppose I owe you a thanks for the publicity. It occurs to me that your flaming criticism has actually helped me out, even if you didn't intend it.

Yeah, C-C-ComradeFSM's Build Server. I built one that was griefed, then he said it would be best to rebuild it farther away from the main area, which I did. He's a pretty cool guy. Oh, and your cross looks nice.

@Reuben: Thanks. Sad to hear you've been griefed... the togglebuild/godmode system does cut that stuff back a huge amount, but in a situation like that someone's likely to doubt you were really permitted to make it (like I did, lol) and think they're doing the right thing... which isn't totally unreasonable (I just wish they'd ask the admins first).

My cross also turned out to be grieferbait (big surprise, I know), but fortunately none of the people that tried had been GMed yet. We kicked quite a few people in the process of building it.

And I was just banned from there, for literally nothing. All I did was build. It was an actual building, far away from the main area, and I wasn't even saying anything offensive.

A cross is not offensive until the person starts saying crap about their religion and forcing it on others...if you dont like it...dont look at it. The renaissance map has a...i believe it is a christian/catholic church i have no idea, deal with it. Religious symbols are going to appear and if you don't like them stop looking at them. They are not hurting you.

P.S. I am agnostic, I have no religious affiliation in any way.

Did it ever occur to any of you that the Cross wasn't commissioned for religious reasons? I was the one who asked 1337101 to make it, not because I'm religious, bet because I think they 1337101's crosses look cool and I've never seen a completed one. That's why it was made.

I also just got banned in a really confusing series of occurences involving a U2 album, some weird preferences, and admins messing with each other... feeling too lazy to go to the trouble of restarting my modem.
