It also boosted our morale. We played better after that and everyone was happy afterward. Morale boosters are essential to war.

Now, if I built a giant penis on the ground, everyone would be pissed, cause it in no way contributes to the field. How the hell does a penis boost the morale of someone who isn't a child? Or any other derogatory building for that matter? Deuce rape statues are also pointless, since they take too much time to build and sculpt. My giant sign only took me less that five minutes.

I've never heard anyone call anyone an autist, but I do hate people who sit in the camp and build useless stuff, especially when I'm the only one on a team of 7-16 defending the intel, and I'm wracking up more kills than everyone on my team combined.

If you want to build, join a build server. I noticed a lot of good servers get filled up, and when i can finally joined its full of idiots who are building colourful rainbow houzes omg so kewl.

Either way, people need to stop getting offended over shit so easily. I'm black, people say nigger all the time. People draw Swastikas all over 50% of servers I join, people votekick with the reason "nigger" or "fucking nigger." Who gives a fuck? It's an online game.

Seriously, if you want to build, Minecraft is all for you. But when I put 30 minutes of my time into playing the game, keeping the scores neck n neck while only 2 or 3 players help me fend against 10 or 12, and we lose because most of our team is building, I usually just break their shit, and tell them it's not a build server, and to stop building shit.

Name calling is childish behavior. Simple as that. Maybe implement a mute system. Until then...

Calling people 'autists' negatively is still derogatory against actual people with autism, I don't care how fitting anyone feels it is, and personally I'd like the term to die and change. Likely? Maybe not but oh well.

People who decide to wreck the 'autists' buildings and think they are a helping really aren't. It doesn't stop them from building in the future, it doesn't do anything for the team because you are in the back being just as useful as the useless builders, and it only makes you look like a jerk.

Some people take things way too far with deconstructing 'autist' structures... I mean, is it really that bad for me to add a little flag at the top of the tower I just finished with my extra blocks while I'm up there? That doesn't magically make me an 'autist'. I'm not saying I care the flag falls, it's gonna happen, but I don't like the quick label.

@NameCalling: Mute system can easily be bypassed. I could just type "a utist" and the script would ignore it. Also, good idea.

As for the "autist" thing, if people want to call me an autist for building something that they deem might be unnecessary then whatever. I'll be ventilating enemy heads over that next hill.

I guess some people don't know that there's a time and place for everything. And that building superfluous structures in a battle server isn't exactly the most productive thing to do.

Also, I don't like them because all the builders are usually on my team, so we're horribly outnumbered and nobody switches because we appear to have more players.

what you are referring to is a language filter. A mute feature would prevent any message typed in chat from being received from his client to yours. Also known as ignore feature. Common commands being...

/mute deuce1
/mute all
/ignore griefer

PySpades has a mute feature, which I like, and could be quite useful in the vanilla code (which could really use more admin controls). An ignore feature might be nice as well, so you don't have to wait for the host to notice you to stop having to deal with that troll flooding your chat.

As a response to the OP, there's a few things to note. What is and isn't acceptable on a server is entirely up to the host, since they're using their own bandwith and CPU to host the server. In general, though, pointless buildings in war servers are seen as wasteful, and destroying them is considered acceptable by quite a few members of the community. Useful buildings, however, are strategic assets and shouldn't be destroyed unless they're being used by the rival team.

Oh, and it's never OK to try to go on a griefing rampage in a build-only. Like I said above, the server rules are the server host's business. If you don't want to deal with the autism, find a war server.

The whole "Nigger" part doesn't offend me either, but its the calling of "autists" that really get to me... Are you guys so fucking senseless as to not even care the Autism is a REAL disease?
