I'd give it a 7/10 for an early beta. It's a fun concept and the gameplay is nice, but there's still a lot of needed features missing from the game, and some of the updates have made the game a bit less fun, rather than more fun... (yes, I'm talking about the cone again).

As far as kid-friendliness goes, I'd give the game itself an A 10+, since the violence isn't particularly graphic. Of course, it varies with server... a well-moderated build-only would be an A, some other poorly-supervised servers would be an M.

Lol, I always feel like a scumbag for being one of the only people who consistently complains about the cone/server-side hit verification.

Anyway, I'd also give this game a 7/10.

I would seriously rate this game a 10 out of 10 if we were to have 0.52's game mechanics back but with the SMG. I don't mean "10 out of 10" in comparison to mainstream, big-name games (even though it is better than a lot of popular titles), but compared to other relatively unknown indie games, it is (was) incredibly fun and addictive.

@Galaxy: No, you aren't alone in your complaints. I'd give 0.52 and earlier an 8 or 9, the only real complaints I had with them were the lack of good admin controls, a complaint I still have now, and the annoying raycasting, which has been fixed.

Actually, the improved voxel rendering is the only 0.54 feature I'm sure I like.
