I'm not feeding, this is what was said in the first post. That I think this is a great idea and would largely contributes to gameplay.

So, map themes sounds awesome. The edge is just what people are looking for.

For desert maps, like large sand-pits, the world could look like it'd just been blown through with a sandstorm.

That would be a bit more impressive then a grey fog in a desert

I listen to this song when I need to relax:

That is a good idea. Maybe we can add rain or snow too.

I still have yet to see why this is more important then real gameplay features.
Also, I'm waiting to see how you think you will be able to do this in C.

Hey OP, you know why you like this idea?
Because it's your idea. Anything you come up with you're going to like because it's YOUR idea.

@Kanz Quit trying to hijack the thread, okay?

All of the stuff we suggested so far anyway may need to take time to work. Skybox seems the easiest and fastest that would come sooner.

I got a new idea a fog thats muggier in some areas in swampy maps then the other fog like in the water its dense on land its semi-dense

I like that, make the fog circle a little less perfect. Also make it so that shadows are cast as a day night cycle goes along.

"always knew that you'd come back to get me
and you always knew that it wouldn't be easy
To go back to the start to see where it all began
Or end up at the bottom to watch how it all ends, I'm nothing without you" That was my final thought before he was put to sleep...

Anyway Filters can be molded and fixed up to be very useful and unique

    (I believe in Reincarnation)

Why doesn't everyone just take one post each to explain as clearly as they can why the idea is good or not? The answer may be obvious to you, but just humour us for a moment and write it down. We've had about 6 pages now of people not answering other people's questions, and it's going nowhere.

I think that there is a lot of things you can do with the game. Any mixtures of effects can produce a new effect that may or may not be better.
