    Just played this, pretty fun flying across the map as a sniper

    Tips regarding assassins from someone who's played the role for a grand total of one hour.

    >Assassins run as fast as everyone else. If both assassin and victim are running along a straight line in a chase, the assassin will not be able to pick the victim. If you are an assassin who has seized the intel and are being chased by other assassins, this rather quickly becomes fucking terrifying.

    >Taking out stationary, established targets is the assassin's ideal prey.

    >Use the land to hide yourself without using cloaking. Get in real close before getting your cloaks on.

    >Your gun is still useful. Use from behind cover to bait an enemy closer (or better yet, get a sniper to TP right over you). Miss your shots so it looks like you're not, in fact, an assassin. Yeah, wrap your head around that. When they get in close, cloak and go after them. Or use your gun to distract enemies while they're trying to get a hit on whoever's running your intel.

    >You are at your best in closed quarters, when people don't have a free run and where they have a harder time figuring out where you're going to go. Watch out for people who pull out a pickaxe, though. It's better to just retreat and wait until they've calmed down.

    REQUEST:

    I loved an old mod that was very much like Team fortress calle weapons factory. It was for evry 3d engine up to unreal III.

    The thing i would like to request is for the scout class.
    I miss grenade and rocket jumping in the old fortress games, but also agree that they are lame , and ruin atmosphere.

    Can you make the scout, or flag capping classes so that they have a hook mod? It would really be cool for some class to be able to hike tall walls fast.

    There are a few hook servers still running for nexius, a FREE 3d shooter... pop in to a CTF server, and check out how fast paced it can make a CTF game.

    I would not have every class have them like nexuiz or weapons factory. but if just one or 2 guys per side had them, it would really make base building a priority.

    I also would not give them a range like Nexuis or WF either, just up like 10 or 20 blocks to keep people from spider-maning around the map. A reload should be required before the next toss, and perhaps a preparation timer to keep people from spamming it.

    Anyway, it would really add to the siege-breaking element. In a siege things stalemate really fast, especially if there is a huge trench or wall in the way.

    Perhaps give the engineer class the ability to build ladders or stairs would be really cool to. You team would have to cover him while he did it, but if he gets through you guys will be able to rush the wall and take out the snippers, giving the sappers enough time to tunnel in :) .

    I would love to make my maps more specific for this game mod :) I love the old fortress and WF games. The new implementations are really lame as far as fast paded gameplay is concerned. Just for gods sake PLEASE DONT MAKE A HAT STORE!!!

    anyway, this is an awesome mod! thank you for doing it :)

    Can you make the duration of the invisibility cloak to 3 minutes? cause to other classes the assasin is the only class that is under powered by all the classes.

    Yeah, really laggy server.
    Also how come even though it says that 20 seconds is the max charge, the invisibility only lasts about 5 or something seconds?

    Update 6: It turns out that I accidentally set the update rate to 0.5, which means that all the countdowns/recharges went twice as fast (oops). Keeping this in mind, I've changed the assassin max energy to 15 seconds (actually a buff...) and the teleporter recharge rate to 3.0 blocks / second (actually a nerf...)

    Good luck on getting in, i have been trying the past little while, it is packed, and everyone seems to love the mod :)

    Yourself, I am going to try making my maps with this mod in mind, there are lots of TF fans out there!
    I want to do some of the classic map re-dos for AOS, the bigger maps like crossover, and somewhat like well.

    Right now the best maps I made for this mod are:
    Newfort
    Pinnacle 2.0
    Cord
    forks
    and Darkfort.

    they had a big influence from 2fort and a few others.

    So far everyone seems to be using the script OK, only the occasional n00b asking how to get command list.
    This is definitely a success.
