@Zeke... lag would depend. |

^ I agree. I just want things to be easier for everyone. Not everyone is running the latest cpu you know :P |

Agreed Zeke |
#106397 [AB]DemonFoxClove Mini Moose Posted 13 years ago |
Yeah. I notice many of the popular people deal with it. People dont want to get kicked every time a flash bang hits them :P No fun at all ); |

Lag? lol all it has to do, is when the nade goes off. A white ong screen is layed over your vision, stored server side so you cant change it to a transparent one. Accompanied by your sounds cutting out, and being replaced with a whinning, like a real Flash Bang. |

CPU has the least to do with. Take the disco script for example. It changed color really fast. When I do disco on my server, the cpu hardly changes. The disco script and this flash bang concept would require the same thing, fast color changing. Which the same as disco, would hardly lag. However, since it is a flash bang, the color would take up the whole screen, leaving the player blind for a couple second. If the whole screen was 1 solid color, then CPU and memory usage would increase a little but depends on your computer. Like I said, it depends. |

hurr durr cod suggestion |
#106403 Kanye Hipster Posted 13 years ago |
Really?! I actually lag a bit during disco :P My cpu cant take things immediately as others :P The more the colors flash the slower my cpu goes. Think of it as running and sopping. After awhile you get tired and just faint :P Lol Kanye first person to make that post in this thread. BRAVO! |

It might not be your CPU. You have to consider you video card, too. Also, a hardware accelerator may not be present. |
#106409 KomradeMario 8-bit Posted 13 years ago |
Lol I dont have an upgraded video card driver as others. That's why this should be discussed :P BRAVO. |

Btw, DE... flash bangs have to do a little damage. @Zeke, you could always download the latest version of your drive. Also, download a hardware accelerator |
#106419 KomradeMario 8-bit Posted 13 years ago |

I don't think that flash grenades is a good idea, maps are way too open for that, but i agree that they shouldn't damage friendly soldiers. i think smoke(which has been suggested and thought out before) is a better idea, because it would probably have more uses on large maps. |
#106452 Priok Spectonaut Posted 13 years ago |
do we see a lot off smoke that blinds anyone going in, or is it a fast flash and anyone inside it get blinded by x amount of seconds? :p |

I think it is a pretty nice suggestion, I'm not sure if it would fit the style of the game though. |
