Not game servers, the actual minecraft server. You know, where their website is and where they host the files. They crashed because of the simultaneous download of 1.8 |

....The server went down because a lot of people tried to download 1.8 AT THE SAME TIME... Which overloaded their servers, cause minecraft.net to crash. |
