    Personally, i think that they should add a deployable machine gun, but in the way that @Galaxy said it should be. Also, there should be different classes of guns, for instance, a GOOD sniper rifle, a good Automatic weapon, a good burst type weapon, and an explosive that fires.

    Eh, the primary weapon looks far more like a M14 than a M1, but I'm not getting into that whole "AoS takes place in xxx era" debate lol.

    Anyway, I am getting impatient. Yes, I know, it has only been like 5 days since 0.51 came out. But ever since Ben mentioned that he would be focusing on weapons and stuff now, my want of an automatic weapon has only grown stronger.

    As I stated in another thread, having an automatic weapon (which is not as accurate as the standard rifle, but not horribly inaccurate) would help to prolong each firefight.

    Most engagements only last a few seconds; find the enemy, aim for his head, shoot him, move on (or vice versa lol). Having a machine gun (or a sub machine gun) would cause people to "duck for cover" so to speak, popping up to take a few shots then getting back in cover. It might make battles more interesting. It would also be a far more suitable weapon than the standard rifle for providing cover fire.

    When your team mate(s) ask you to cover them while they advance, your little 10 round magazine that the standard rifle provides will usually be inadequate when dealing with multiple enemies (unless all ten rounds are clean headshots).

    Anyway, I AM GETTING IMPATIENT AND I WANT A NEW GUN NOW.

    what do you mean a good sniper rifle? the current rifle is impossibly accurate.

    @Galaxy
    most of my rounds are headshots. and its not usually more than half the enemy team chasing the intel.

    Marking enemies like they do in the *newest* games of the Battlefield series is a very bad idea. Basically it encourages the most unpredictable firefights in any game. You never know whether you are marked, but once you are, the entire enemy team knows EXACTLY where you are, even behind cover, for the next ten seconds which means they may as well be wall hacking for those 10 seconds. It makes it too easy to snipe around tight bends without so much as exposing a sliver of your body.

    I miss Battlefield 1942 through Battlefield 2 where they would call out if they spotted an enemy and the coordinates would automatically display.

    What i would like to see is improved means of communication in the team, and more help in navigation. I'll just sprout what pops into my head:

    - bigger and thicker text letters - they are too small and thin now. they are.
    - hotkeyed communication macros like: "cover me", "help me bulid/destroy this", "don't build there/destroy it", "stop shooting", etc. - in hot situations you really dont have time to chat, and the good team tactics count a lot there
    - status declaration macros like: "im going to charge/snipe/patrol/build" - so the whole team knows what you are doing
    - map marker tool, with it you could ping points of interest on the map, like in strategy games
    - when a votekicking is in progress, everyone could have a little info box in a corner with the text: "do you wish to kick xx?", plus a vote counter. And for voting, you simply have to hit a button like "I" for yes and "N" for no.
    - grid numbers and letters on the minimap too
    - special map options, that could be toggled, like: turning gird on/off; showing team member names over their white circle; an option to see the height of the top block instead of its color (like a relief map)

    Also, joining the debate on the game's theme: I think this game is not representing any war. Moreover i think this game is very abstract, and it has a generic setting, that can be transformed into any theme.

    i would like the weapons thing of couse then mabye a side arm game modes ragdoll and classes and a few more things people suggested

    True true. Some guns might definitely upset the balance, and what we don't need is a full list of smg's and assault rifles, and people running with them and spraying with little recoil to any distance, like in CoD. I'm not saying Call of Duty is a bad game (I love it myself) but it doesn't belong here. Mountable MGs would be great definitely.

    I hope the update arrives fast, but as we know, programming takes time.

    The only guns with a good amount of recoil in CoD: MW and up are the rifles, which is very unrealistic.

    What i mean by a "Good" sniper rifle is one that has increased zoom, and increased damage. maybe a 2-shot kill to the body, one to the head (Obvious) and slower aiming down scope, like an animation. not a full animation like COD, but an animation like you aim, and it automatically pulls up, but then you have sort of a slideshow animation of moving from almost complete black to the scope sight. EDIT: that way, snipers would have a dis-advantage toward riflemen, but an advantage over smg's and Assault rifles (If they are added) Agreed?
