I voted sniper rifle before I even read the post. oops?

i think that people are tampering and voting shotgun, also. i do not know if i would really prefer one over the other. it is not really too big of a deal, if people really want a sniper rifle, that is cool

The shotgun should bolster the currently weird battles at mid-range (rifle vs. rifle/SMG). I often find myself caught between 2 enemies at once (Pinpoint/Assault/Faceoff maps) and can't equally degrade both players as a choice.

Actauly after running the trace, teh shotgun votes are all legit, from different IP addresses, but the sniper votes mostly comes from the same IP address, in Miami USA.

A bit off topic, I fail to see the use of a shotgun, at any range but right in front of them you'll instantly be out classed by a semi headshot or a smg spray fire.

I find the idea of ignoring one option to be ridiculous, as legitimate people would have also voted for it too (I myself would like a sniper to be added). Best option would be either another poll, maybe here on the forums, if it can be supported, or via a topic members must post on. Something that can be policed and guarded against vote rigging.

Well, thats debatable, the shot gun would shoot in a series of pellets, at close range it would pretty much be a one blast kill, at mid range 2-3 shots would most likely kill someone.

If its a heat of the moment "turn round a corner holy shit a guy with an smg!" moment, the shot gun would easily win, the smg requires about 3-5 hits to kil, the shotgun at that range? 1 hit would do =].

That sounds good since, now that i think about everyone who voted for sniper rifle is screwed because of that guy.

Well that would be more of a side weapon shotgun because, epcassaily on gen maps a shogun would not work being your only weapon.

yer perhaps, but it would also be great for intel camping. Dig youself nito the hillside behind the intel, i do that with the smg, its pretty effective, with a shotgun it would be letheal =P.

True, but a handgun with all weapons would keep things balanced, espcally for shotgun, the pistol being lond range of course with high ROF.

I'd like to see a shotgun or melee first(sidearm might work too) instead of a sniper rifle for all the cod fags. We have a semi with high accuracy, no need for a fucking sniper rifle when we dance to fight at mid/short range.

I also fail to see the practical usage of a shotgun in this game. But there is no point in bringing up the reasons why when they have already been pointed out time and time again. If the shotgun is what we get, then the shotgun is what we get. I'll deal with it.

This doesn't change the fact that I want the SMG to be replaced with a LMG/GPMG. That would be a formidable medium-long range weapon.

i live in west palm beach, wich is an hour or 2 away from miami but you dont see anyone acusing me. anyway with the semi you should just have the option to put a damn scope on.PISTOLS AND SHOTTYS FTW!!

And you CAN put a scope on the rifle... can you say "visual mod"? You can both change the look of the rifle model itself and the picture you see when you sight in.

i know i mean a legit scope in there so wanna be quick scopers can have a life =D
